- The Amazing Son-in-Law [The Charismatic Charlie Wade] (Chinese name) Chapter: 7015
The Yamaguchi-gumi felt uneasy. They were the first group to come in and not surrender, and now they just wanted to prove their innocence. The feeling of being unable to defend themselves was unsettling.
Daochuan Hui was also feeling down. He had thought he was going to catch a turtle in a jar, but now he realized he had become the turtle himself. He didn’t know who was blocking their way out, but it was clear the other side had the upper hand. They were surrounded by cars and strong defenses, making it hard to fight back.
Outside their hiding place, there were only a dozen corpses scattered at the entrance, and they couldn’t use them for cover. Even if they tried, the enemy would fire at them as soon as they showed themselves.
The area surrounding the exit was large, with several vehicles parked nearby. If they could make a run for it, they might use those vehicles as shields. But the distance from the exit to the vehicles was at least twenty or thirty meters, filled with enemies. If they tried to rush out, most would likely get caught or shot before they even reached safety.
With no way out, they had to stay huddled together. Joining forces with the Yamaguchi-gumi might seem like a good idea, but the Inagawa Club members were worried that the Yamaguchi-gumi already had some hidden advantage. If they teamed up and managed to escape, it would only help the Yamaguchi-gumi.
For the Inagawa Club, working together to escape was fine, but they didn’t want to assist their rivals in getting away.
At that moment, the eleven members of the Inagawa Club were deep in thought about their next move.
The killers of the Bluestone Alliance were trapped outside, unable to escape because the Sumiyoshi Association had surrounded them completely. They managed to hide behind and under several cars, but they knew it wouldn’t last long. Shi, one of their leaders, felt completely stuck.
The newly arrived members of the Sumiyoshi Club had set up a strong perimeter around the entrances and exits, and they were outnumbered. If the Bluestone Alliance tried to act too quickly, they would be discovered and targeted by their enemies.
The little leader of the Sumiyoshi Kai felt confident in his position outside. To strengthen his advantage, he instructed his men, “Get a few powerful off-road vehicles. I’ll create a gap in the encirclement, and then you can drive in. We need to push the other cars aside and clear the area. If they rush out and use those vehicles for cover, it’ll cause us trouble.”
A few young men quickly picked out three high-powered off-road vehicles from their group and prepared to drive into the encirclement to clear the cars.
This situation put the eleven Bluestone Alliance killers in a tough spot. They were relying on the scattered cars for cover, and if the Sumiyoshi Club cleared those vehicles away, their hiding place would be exposed. Retreating or charging out wasn’t realistic; even though they were skilled killers, their chances of winning were slim in this situation.
One of the killers spoke quietly into his earpiece to the captain, “Captain, they’re trying to clear the cars at the entrance. What should we do if we get exposed?”
The captain listened to the worried voices of his men around him and cursed under his breath.
Heart thought to himself, “You’re so stupid. Should I reply? If I do, I might expose myself.”
The killer noticed that the captain wasn’t responding and the other car was getting closer. He raised his voice over the engine noise and shouted, “Captain! Please say something!”
The captain, startled by the noise in his earphones, quickly turned off the communicator. However, the Daochuan Club members still heard it. One of them whispered, “Who is on the phone at a time like this?”
The captain stayed silent. It was dark all around, and he hoped that since the call was cut off, they wouldn’t find him.
More than one member of the Inagawa Club had heard the call, but the darkness made it hard to see who was close by, so no one could identify the voice.
Then someone said, “Brother! I think a spy has sneaked in! I heard the captain on the intercom, but I couldn’t catch the rest!”
“Spy?!” The captain of the Daochuan Club immediately became alert.
In this tense situation, he felt trapped, with danger in front and behind, and no clear view of his surroundings. The enemy could be lurking nearby.
