All the band members and dancers were backstage, ready to perform. Tawanna, dressed in a beautiful and sparkling costume, was also backstage, preparing to make her entrance.

The band members had to walk in from the end of the catwalk, while Tawanna would enter from the front using a hidden elevator.

The whole T-stage felt like a big hollow space. Charlie Wade felt like he was in a mine, surrounded by steel frames and bending down to walk through a narrow path.

At the end of this path was a circular elevator. With the help of the staff, Tawanna quickly made her way to the elevator.

Tawanna, still kneeling in the lift, was ready to go. A stylist checked her makeup and hairstyle one last time. After confirming everything looked perfect, the stylist gave her an OK sign and stepped back to a safe distance.

Tawanna’s assistant handed her a silver wireless microphone decorated with crystals. The microphone was already on, but the sound engineer hadn’t activated it yet, so it wouldn’t make any noise until she was on stage.

Tawanna picked up the microphone…

Tawana adjusted her microphone as her assistant reminded her, “There are just two minutes left in the opening countdown.”

Spotting Charlie Wade and Xiao Churan in the crowd, Tawana waved and smiled. “I’ll be going on stage soon. You can wait for me behind the T-stage. I’ll sing the second half of the first song. Duan will walk back.”

Once she was out of earshot, he whispered to Xiao Churan, “What kind of clothes is she wearing? A long-sleeved shirt with briefs? It looks so strange.”

Xiao Churan felt a bit shy as she answered, “I think it’s just her personal style. I’m not sure what to call those clothes.”

Charlie asked again, “But how do you wear something like that? Do you put your feet in through the collar and pull it up?”
