Chapter 2753
“Do we really need to plan this so many days in advance? Isn’t there a teleportation array if the destination is far?”
Kai was aware that teleportation arrays were indeed present in the Celestial Realm.
After Kai finished speaking, both Liu Ruyan and the Third Elder stared at him as if he were quite foolish.
“Mr. Chen, you do realize that these teleportation arrays don’t just take you anywhere, right?”
“Even if we had a teleportation formation that could take us to Jialing County, the resources needed to activate it just once are enormous. It’s not something anyone would use unless there was an urgent need,” the Third Elder chimed in.
Upon hearing this, Kai chuckled awkwardly and asked, “So we’re just supposed to walk there?”
Although Kai and the others were capable of flying with their swords, using a significant amount of spiritual energy to rush to their destination felt like an unreasonable expense.
As everyone’s cultivation level increased, it became progressively more challenging and resource-intensive. Covering two thousand kilometers by sword flight would likely leave them exhausted before they even arrived!
“That’s not entirely accurate. Close to our Jade Tripod Sect is the Flying Sky Sect, which has numerous airships. We can take one of those to reach our destination,” Liu Ruyan explained.
“Airships?” Kai was taken aback. He had no idea such things existed in the Celestial Realm.
Airships seemed like something from the mundane world, a concept that felt outdated even there, replaced by civil airplanes and similar vehicles!
“Yes, the Flying Sky Sect uses airships as a source of income. As long as we each pay a certain amount of spirit coins, we can board one,” Liu Ruyan explained further.
“However, constructing an airship is costly, so they usually don’t operate for short distances. If the trip is too brief, walking is the only option.”
“For instance, traveling to Jialing County, which is two thousand kilometers away, there are typically no airships available. But due to the upcoming pill refining meeting, the Flying Heaven Sect will provide two airships specifically for that purpose,” Liu Ruyan continued to elaborate.
“I see, so it’s similar to airplane flights, right?” Kai began to connect the dots, realizing that these airships were essentially the same as planes in the mundane world.
After all, just as planes didn’t operate for very short distances, airships wouldn’t just take off and land without a good reason.
“Airplane flights? What’s that?” Liu Ruyan asked, her expression filled with curiosity.
“Oh, it’s nothing important. I get it now; I’ll make the necessary preparations, and we’ll set off tomorrow!”
Kai turned to head back to his room, instructing the Ichthus Demon Emperor to get ready as well. Perhaps once they reached Jialing County, he would find a cure for the Ichthus Demon Emperor!
Meanwhile, as Kai and the others were making their way to the Pill Master’s Guild, Princess Isha was being escorted by two attendants, desperately trying to evade the pursuit of the Huben faction.
“Princess Isha, we need to change our course. I think our location has been compromised,” one of the attendants warned.
“We can’t change direction. I’m determined to reach the Jade Tripod Sect to find Kai. Even if it costs me my life, I want to die in his arms…” Princess Isha declared fiercely.
Just as she finished speaking, a threatening presence loomed behind her.
The faces of Princess Isha and her attendants turned pale.
“Princess, you must run! We’ll hold them off to buy you some time…”
The two attendants, caught off guard by how quickly the pursuers had arrived, urged Princess Isha to flee.
Princess Isha hesitated, her eyes filled with reluctance, but she understood that her attendants likely wouldn’t survive this encounter.
With determination, she gritted her teeth and sprinted forward, but the suppressed strength within her body made her slow.
Before long, she heard the sounds of weapons clashing behind her, followed by blood-curdling screams!
Yet, Princess Isha dared not stop and continued to run as fast as she could!
