Chapter 2754
Welcome to Day 2!
Kai was accompanied by the Ichthus Demon Emperor, Ruyan Liu, and the Third Elder as they set off on their journey!
“Nie Heng, while I’m away, make sure to keep a close watch on the Jade Tripod Sect. We cannot afford any mistakes,” Ruyan Liu instructed firmly.
Nie Heng promptly assured, “Patriarch, you can count on me. I’ll ensure everything goes smoothly at the Jade Tripod Sect.”
With a nod of approval from Ruyan Liu, she led Kai and the others toward the Flying Sky Sect!
Kai, alongside the Yih Demon Emperor, quickly made their way, and within half a day, they reached the Flying Sky Sect!
As Kai gazed at the vast city walls and the expansive city before him, he found it hard to believe that this was merely a clan.
This looked like a full-fledged city, not just the Flying Heaven Sect!
Above the city’s entrance, however, the words “Flying Heaven Sect” were prominently displayed.
That sign was all it took for Kai to believe they had indeed arrived at the Flying Heaven Sect!
“Mr. Chen, the Flying Heaven Sect is not just involved in airship operations; we conduct various kinds of business. Right now, with the Pill Master Meeting approaching, this place is bustling with activity as many people return to use the airships!”
“This is the peak time for commerce here, with vendors out in full force.”
“We might just find all the herbs you need here!” the Third Elder suggested to Kai.
“Let’s head inside!” Ruyan Liu declared, waving her hand as the group entered the Flying Sky Sect.
Once inside, they were greeted by a flurry of hawkers, and at the heart of the Flying Sky Sect, a massive dirigible, stretching hundreds of meters, loomed overhead!
It was Kai’s first encounter with an airship, piquing his curiosity. However, he was taken aback by the sight of three large pterodactyls, firmly chained to the airship with thick iron links. The formation patterns glowing on their bodies indicated they were controlled by some sort of mechanism!
Although he had heard tales of human airships, he never imagined they would be pulled by three winged dragons!
The three pterodactyls were resting comfortably on the ground, seemingly unbothered by the hustle and bustle of people passing by.
As Kai approached, the three creatures opened their eyes simultaneously, glanced at him, and then settled back down.
“Are these three pterosaurs what powers the dirigible?” Kai inquired, turning to Liu Ruyan.
“Absolutely! If they’re not pulling it, who else would?” Liu Ruyan replied.
“However, the dirigible is also equipped with formations that help lighten the load, allowing it to fly swiftly when filled with passengers!”
Upon hearing this, Kai fell silent. After all, this was the Celestial Realm, a far cry from the mundane world, where machines and fuels powered everything!
Where would one even find an engine in the Celestial Realm?
In truth, Kai should have realized this earlier, though the notion of using three-headed pterodactyls to power an airship was certainly unusual!
“Ich, which beast king do these three pterodactyls belong to in your beast race?” Kai asked, curious about the lineage of these fascinating creatures.
“Mr. Chen, while these winged creatures are part of the beast race, they don’t fall under the authority of our three emperors and four kings. They belong to the dragon race and represent a distinct lineage,” Yih explained quietly.
“Though they may not be pure dragon blood, they are still considered a dragon lineage, and we have no jurisdiction over them.”
“It seems these three winged dragons were likely captured by other beast kings and sold to the Flying Sky Clan. It’s common for beast kings to capture demonic beasts outside their control and sell them to humans.”
Yih concluded softly after Kai’s inquiry.
