Chapter 2761
Kai and his companions had just reached the front cabin door when a group of members from the Flying Sky Clan, who were engaged in conversation, immediately halted them.
“What are you doing here? Return to your posts!”
One of the Flying Sky Clan members barked.
“We just want to take a look inside the front cabin, alright?”
Kai replied with a friendly smile.
“No, passengers are not permitted to enter the front cabin! Get back!”
The Flying Sky Clan member shook his head firmly.
“Well, if we can’t watch it, we won’t watch it…”
Kai declared, winking at the Three Monstrous Thieves beside him.
Seeing the signal, the trio sprang into action, swiftly incapacitating a few members of the Flying Sky Clan without making a sound, ensuring the other passengers remained unaware of the commotion.
However, their actions did not go unnoticed by two elderly figures nearby.
“Should we intervene?”
The old woman inquired, her brows furrowing.
“Not yet. Let’s see what these intruders are up to,”
the old man replied, observing the unfolding situation.
“Our Flying Sky Sect has maintained its integrity for centuries, without a single incident of airship robbery.”
His excitement grew as he added, “It seems our day has finally come! If we handle this well, we’ll certainly receive commendations upon our return.”
Both of them were elders of the Flying Sky Sect, each having reached the fifth rank of the Combined Body realm. They were disguised as tourists but were actually tasked with covert surveillance on the airship.
Meanwhile, after the Three Monstrous Thieves had subdued several Clan members, Kai moved forward and gently pressed his hand against the door, using a bit of force to swing it open.
Upon entering the front cabin, Kai’s expression shifted as he spotted the lifeless bodies of several Flying Sky Clan members.
He hadn’t anticipated that the Three Monstrous Thieves would kill anyone. His intention was solely to rescue the Pterodactyl, not to incite hatred with the Flying Sky Clan.
However, given the current situation, Kai felt powerless to express his concerns since the Thieves had acted on his command.
Inside the front cabin, Kai’s gaze fell upon three pterodactyls, their spirits soaring despite their predicament.
He noticed a thick chain wrapping tightly around the body of one of the pterodactyls, the other end anchored to the top of the airship.
With determination, Kai leapt forward, following the chain directly to one of the pterodactyls.
As he approached, the pterodactyl sensed his presence, shuddering and letting out a soft hiss.
Kai quickly channeled his divine dragon power, gently stroking the pterodactyl and reassuring it, “Don’t worry, I’m here to help you.”
Upon feeling the divine energy emanating from Kai, the pterodactyl calmed instantly, comforted by his presence.
Standing atop the pterodactyl’s broad back, Kai eyed the shimmering chains, feeling a sense of urgency.
To free the creature, he would need a sharp weapon like the Dragon Chopper, but using it risked injuring the pterodactyl.
Yet, if he avoided using his sword, unraveling the enchantment on the chains would be a painstakingly slow process.
Just as he was at a loss, a voice echoed in his mind. “Mr. Chen, why not use fire to melt the chain?”
Kai had the Supreme Flame within him, but had never considered this approach!
Resolutely, he placed his hand on the thick iron chain, which instantly began to glow red as the formation patterns flickered wildly.
Slowly, the patterns faded, and the chain began to melt away!
Once the chain snapped, the pterodactyl broke free from its shackles and soared into the sky, its excitement palpable as it flew back around.
