Kai stepped out of the alchemy room and noticed that Zhu Zhu was still inside. He called out to her!
“Stop shouting! I’m coming back ……”
Zhu Zhu cast a hesitant glance at Meng He before finally exiting the alchemy room!
She understood that if she didn’t follow Kai back, Suo Xing Yue would surely reprimand her!
“Zhu Zhu, please don’t go just yet. I want to spend a little more time with you,” Meng He pleaded.
As Zhu Zhu prepared to leave, Meng He unexpectedly grabbed her hand!

Meng He’s face lit up with joy as he clasped Zhu Zhu’s hand tightly, afraid she might change her mind!
“Kai, you can head back without me. I’ll stay here for a bit longer ……”
Zhu Zhu spoke to Kai.
Kai simply glanced at Zhu Zhu before turning to leave!
He sensed that Meng He didn’t genuinely care for Zhu Zhu; she was blissfully unaware of the truth and was being misled by him!
Kai had no interest in understanding Meng He’s motives, nor did he feel it was any of his concern! After all, whether Zhu Zhu was deceived or not was none of his business!
All he needed was assurance that the woman he cared about was loyal to him!
As soon as Kai left, Meng He took Zhu Zhu’s hand and they exited together. Once outside the examination venue, Meng He looked at Zhu Zhu with a serious expression and asked, “Zhu Zhu, do you know much about this guy named Kai?”
Zhu Zhu shook her head, “I don’t know much, only that he belongs to the Jade Tripod Sect. My master mentioned that Kai saved him from a demonic cultivator during a journey.”
