“Can people from the Second Heaven come down to this heaven?”
Kai asked.

“Of course they can,” Hu Mazi replied.
“Not just the Second Heaven—even the supreme saints from the Thirty-Six Heavens can come to the First Heaven. But the truth is, they don’t come.”

“To them, you’re not even an ant. Why would they bother coming here?”

“Think about it—would you go out of your way to visit an ant colony just to show off? Would you feel anything if you accidentally crushed a few dozen ants under your feet?”

“And what would you even gain in the world of ants?”

“Nothing—just a waste of time,” Hu Mazi said with a shrug.

“That makes sense,” Kai nodded.
“But if people from the Second Heaven can enter the First Heaven without restriction, doesn’t that make it really dangerous for those of us down here?”

He couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy. If there were no limits, wouldn’t the First Heaven always be at risk?

“This is Heaven, not a playground. You could lose your life at any time,”
Hu Mazi replied.

“If a celestial from the Ninth Heaven descended right now, they could wipe out everyone in the First Heaven in an instant.”

“I remember, years ago, the entire Third Heaven was annihilated by a single Golden Immortal. But over time, new cultivators rose, and the Third Heaven rebuilt itself. It became the Third Heaven again.”

“But after that incident, the Golden Immortal was punished by Heaven itself. I heard his body and soul were completely wiped from existence. Heaven has its own rules. Even if you can destroy a world, it doesn’t mean you’re allowed to.”

Hu Mazi explained patiently. Kai still knew too little about how things worked in Heaven.

Xiu Rui, who had been listening quietly, took the opportunity to absorb everything, using it to deepen his understanding of the Heavenly realms.

Swoosh…

Just as the three were talking intently—

A sharp arrow suddenly shot toward them, slicing through the void with incredible speed!

“Shit…”
Kai and the others were shocked. They had been ambushed while completely off guard!

Fortunately, although the arrow was extremely sharp, its speed wasn’t particularly fast!

Kai and the other two narrowly dodged it, then immediately turned to look in the direction it had come from.

At the same time, Kai raised the Dragon Slashing Sword and struck with a swift slash!

But just as the sword energy flew out, Kai noticed a child’s head poking out from behind a bush in the direction the arrow had come from.

The child had a small horn on their forehead and a pair of large, curious black eyes, staring at them with a mix of mischief and caution.

Kai was momentarily stunned. He quickly twisted his wrist, redirecting the sword energy so that it skimmed past the child and exploded in the ground behind them, leaving a deep pit.

Startled, the child jumped back and shouted,
“Sister! There are humans trespassing in our territory!”

Hearing that, Kai immediately realized—they weren’t in human territory, but in the beast realm!

Without hesitation, he released the beast aura from within his body.

Hu Mazi and Xiu Rui also acted fast, activating their concealment talismans to hide their human presence.

Moments later, in response to the child’s shout, a young girl around eighteen or nineteen years old came rushing over.

Upon seeing the three of them, she slapped the child lightly and scolded,
“Who told you to wander off? These three clearly carry our tribe’s aura—why would you accuse them of being human?”

“I…”
The child looked wronged but peered at Kai and the others again, realizing he couldn’t sense a human aura from them.

“My apologies, fellow Daoists,”
The girl stepped forward and bowed slightly.
“My younger brother is still young and not yet good at sensing auras. Please forgive him.”

“It’s alright,”
Kai replied calmly.
“But this kind of thing shouldn’t happen again. Your brother attacked us—if we hadn’t dodged in time, someone could’ve been hurt.”

The girl’s expression turned serious. She grabbed the child and said sternly,
“Why haven’t you apologized yet, you little troublemaker? If you injure one of our own and the city lord hears about it, we won’t even be allowed to enter the city!”

“I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to…”
The child quickly apologized to Kai and the others, looking genuinely remorseful.
