“How long have you been trapped in this purgatory?” Kai pressed.

“I can’t say for sure… it must have been many, many years,” Fengxian replied after thinking for a moment.

“Then do you know how this purgatory came to be? I noticed that all the corpses here belong to demons, yet now this is considered beastman territory,” Kai asked curiously.

Fengxian nodded and said, “Originally, this land belonged to the demons. But the demons from two major cities fought each other mercilessly and ended up destroying themselves here.”

“I heard that a demon cultivator at the peak of the Scattered Immortal Realm later descended from the Third Heaven, quelled the chaos, and sealed the battlefield.”
