Then he lifted the formation at the prison entrance and stepped outside.

As Kai had predicted, the number of soldiers in the city had noticeably decreased. From afar, figures could be seen rushing toward the border between Feihu City and Rhino City.

Not long after leaving the prison, Kai and his group encountered a dozen armed soldiers nervously patrolling the streets.

Upon seeing Kai and the others, the soldiers froze.

For a moment, silence hung between the two sides.

The dozen soldiers looked at the large crowd of human cultivators behind Kai and began to tremble slightly.

“Did you find anything around here?”

“Nothing.”

“Let’s patrol a different street.”

The soldiers mumbled among themselves, pretending not to notice Kai and his group, then quickly turned and walked away.

Kai was left speechless at the sight.

Figures began rising into the sky, and the large crowd took flight, soaring out of the city in a dark wave.

Kai said.

But just as Kai and his companions were about to leave, the dozen soldiers from earlier suddenly turned back around.

Seeing this, Kai chuckled and said, “Didn’t you say you didn’t see anything? Why are you back?”

“Cut the nonsense—who are you?” one of the soldiers demanded.

“Oh? So now that you see there are only a few of us left, you’ve got your confidence back?”
Kai replied with a calm expression.

“Hmph, so what? Hand over your life!”
The soldier shouted, charging at Kai with his weapon raised.

Kai’s eyes flashed with disdain. He didn’t even draw his Dragon Slaying Sword—he simply raised his palm.

Puff!

The soldier was instantly crushed into pulp by Kai’s strike.

Seeing this, the other soldiers froze, their faces twisting with fear—then they turned and fled.

“Cowards…”
Kai muttered coldly, then punched again.

The powerful strike hit its mark, and the fleeing soldiers were instantly knocked into the air. Their bodies exploded mid-flight, torn apart by the force of his blow.
