As Truce swung his powerful strike, Jeremiah stayed calm. He didn’t flinch and simply raised his arm to block the blow.

Jeremiah stood there with a smile on his face.

“Huh?” Truce’s eyes widened in surprise. He had delivered that sweeping blow with full force, thinking it would be enough to take down Jeremiah.

Truce expected Jeremiah to use some advanced internal energy to block the attack, but he sensed nothing. This meant Jeremiah had used his physical strength alone to withstand the hit.

“I can’t believe that skinny priest caught Venerable Truce’s staff barehanded. He’s got some skills,” one spectator said.

Truce rolled his eyes, but his expression became serious. He understood that Jeremiah was a strong opponent. To win, Truce knew he had to give it his all.

“Today, you will see the Banisher Technique from Aureate Monastery!” he shouted as he jumped into the air. Both hands gripped his staff tightly as he aimed a powerful strike at Jeremiah’s head.

A loud rumble filled the air as the shadowsteel staff lit up with a bright golden glow, releasing an intense wave of energy.

Jeremiah raised an eyebrow and quickly dodged to the side, avoiding the heavy blow.

The staff, glowing with golden light, hit the ground with tremendous force, carving a deep trench into the battle ring beneath them.

The battle ring was about 330 feet wide and made of black gold stone, which was as hard as steel. The deep groove left by the staff showed just how strong Truce was.

If that blow had hit someone, it would have caused serious injury.

Even though the strike missed, Truce didn’t hesitate. He swung the staff horizontally, aiming for Jeremiah’s legs. The golden light made his attack fast and powerful.

Jeremiah jumped into the air and floated backward to escape the strike.

“Just what I was waiting for!” Truce said, his eyes narrowed with determination. He focused all his energy into the staff. The golden light flared up and transformed into a golden dragon that lunged toward Jeremiah.

He crashed into the ring, creating a crater shaped like a human in the black-gold stone. Dust and debris flew everywhere, and the air buzzed with energy.

The crowd erupted in cheers at the sight.

Truce’s ultimate attack was so powerful that it could have turned a tank into scrap in an instant. Everyone believed Jeremiah would be crushed.

Just when they thought the match was over, a sound of falling stones caught their attention.

Out of the dust, Jeremiah emerged. He looked fine, except for a little dust on his clerical robe.

“This is my favorite outfit, and you’ve ruined it. How are you going to make this right?” He looked down at his slightly torn robe. His smile turned into a fierce glare. He was angry, and there would be consequences.
