An Understated Dominance - Chapter 2334
**Chapter 2334**
As hidden weapons flew toward him, Caleb seemed ready for them. He raised his middle and index fingers and softly spoke an incantation.
Suddenly, a golden light surrounded him. The weapons struck the light with loud clangs but bounced off without leaving a mark.
“He’s using the Glow Incantation technique?” Sam exclaimed, raising his eyebrows in surprise. The Glow Incantation was the signature technique of Sacred Wrym Summit, and mastering it took decades of hard work. Yet, at just 20 years old, Caleb had already mastered it, showing his incredible talent.
However, Sam knew that Caleb’s skill wasn’t enough to challenge him. He understood that the effectiveness of the Glow Incantation depended on Caleb’s level of training, and being young meant his foundation was still growing. Sam believed he could break through Caleb’s defenses if he kept attacking.
Quickly, he waved his sleeves, sending a flurry of hidden weapons toward Caleb. Though they looked ordinary, each weapon had the power to pierce through dark steel.
“Again?” Caleb’s eyes narrowed. Instead of taking the hits, he pushed off the ground with his toes and jumped into the air. The Glow Incantation offered strong protection, but it was tiring to maintain. He realized he didn’t have to fight directly if he could just avoid it.
The hidden weapons zipped by underneath him without making contact. Just when he thought he had escaped the attack, Sam flicked his fingers to redirect the projectiles back toward him.
Suddenly, the weapons shot up and curved in midair, forming a dense and relentless swarm aimed right at Caleb.
“Whoa! He can do that? Is this the hidden weapon technique of the Dawson Clan? Impressive!” someone remarked.
“The Dawson Clan’s hidden weapons are famous. Their skills must be extraordinary!” another person added.
The crowd was shocked by the unexpected turn of events. They had always believed that hidden weapons flew in a straight line, with skill only able to slightly change their course. But what Sam had just done—making his hidden weapon turn in midair and return—was something they had never witnessed before. To them, it felt almost magical.
“This is really frustrating,” Caleb thought as he faced a flurry of thrown weapons. With no way to dodge, he quickly recited the Glow Incantation again. A golden light surrounded him, blocking the incoming projectiles and creating a series of loud clinks. While these hidden weapons weren’t strong enough to seriously injure him, they were wearing him down.
While Caleb was focused on defending himself, Sam launched another attack. With a quick flick of his sleeve, three Frost Needles shot toward Caleb’s back. These needles were dangerous; they could disrupt a grandmaster’s internal energy, breaking through defenses and freezing their opponent. Many grandmasters had fallen to these deadly needles.
“Hmm?” Caleb sensed the danger and turned quickly. With a flash of light from his fingertips, he pointed at the Frost Needles. A bolt of blue lightning shot out and struck the needles, causing them to explode and release a wave of cold air.
Caleb landed gracefully after dodging the attack. If those needles had hit him while he was in the air, even a brief freeze could have given Sam the chance to finish him off. Sam, ranked ninth on the Legendary List, was indeed a fearsome opponent. Every move he made was deadly.
“Is this really a fight?” Sam paused his attack, considering his next move.
Sam watched Caleb carefully. He knew that Caleb had mastered the Glow Incantation and Stormcraft techniques. Sam realized that this monk was special and shouldn’t be taken lightly. He understood he had to take the match seriously and felt ready to go all in.
Sam placed the Dawson Clan’s sacred artifact, the thousand-talon coffer, in front of him and tapped it gently. The gears inside started to turn, and a small hatch at the top opened. Three dark beams shot out, hovering in front of him.
The crowd noticed that the beams formed into three black short swords. They radiated a chilling energy and floated in the air without any support. These were rare magical artifacts.
“Wow! Sam is going all out!” someone exclaimed.
“He’s using the thousand-talon coffer. The monk is in serious trouble!” the spectators murmured, eager to see what would happen next.
“Go!” Sam shouted as he pointed at Caleb.
The three black swords flew toward Caleb at incredible speed, aiming straight for his face.
