Abigail pushed off the ground and soared into the air. She quickly caught up to George, who was starting to fall. With a powerful swing, she brought her long leg down like an axe, striking him hard on the back.
The impact was dramatic. George, falling face-first, flipped over and crashed into the battle ring like a soccer ball. As he tumbled down, he coughed up more blood.
His heavy body slammed into the hard ground with a jarring thud, creating a deep crater in the ring. Dust and debris exploded into the air, sending rocks flying.
Even though George had strong defenses, the blow fractured his bones, shifted his organs, and left him badly hurt. His defenses would have seemed nearly unbeatable against a regular grandmaster. But Abigail was no ordinary grandmaster; she was an ultimate grandmaster with the powerful Phoenix bloodline.
Each punch and kick she delivered had the strength to crush a grandmaster. Remarkably, George could take a few of her hits and still be standing, which was already impressive.
“It’s not over yet!” he shouted as he struggled to climb out of the crater.
Suddenly, Abigail’s fist slammed into his face, sending him crashing back to the ground. His body hit the floor hard enough to shake the battle ring. His nose and mouth were crooked, teeth flying, and everything around him blurred as his vision spun.
She jumped down into the pit, glaring at him with cold intensity. “You call me a bitch?” she demanded, driving her fist into his face again.
“Trying to kill me?” she asked, landing another punch.
“Is that all you’ve got?” she taunted, hitting him once more.
“Who do you think you are?” she shouted as her fists rained down on George’s face like a relentless storm.
Abigail punched George, each strike accompanied by a harsh insult. He was beaten badly, blood splattering everywhere. At first, he grunted in pain, but soon he fell silent.
The only sound was the dull thud of Abigail’s fists hitting him. After what felt like a long time, she finally stopped. When she climbed out of the pit, she was covered in blood, and George was already dead.
He wasn’t just dead; he had been completely destroyed. His head and neck were gone, and half of his body was a gruesome mess of flesh, blood, and shattered bone. It was a horrifying sight.
“Damn, what bad luck!” Abigail spat on George’s lifeless body. She wiped the blood from her face and walked away from the battlefield casually.
With George’s body in ruins, everyone knew the outcome. There was no need to wait for Oron to announce it.
Abigail, known for her beauty, left some men in the stands feeling uneasy. They had been flippant when she entered the ring. Although their comments weren’t as crude as George’s, they were still inappropriate.
After witnessing George’s brutal defeat, they felt guilty and nervous. They realized that Abigail was relentless and unforgiving.
If a man like George, who could withstand blades and bullets, had been turned to mush, they shuddered to think what would happen to them. No matter how beautiful she appeared, they learned not to underestimate her.
“Nice! Well done!” Suddenly, someone stood up and shouted, breaking the silence. Applause erupted like thunder, and cheers filled the air. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement.
“As expected from the Grand Sorceress of the Mystic Arts Order. You’ve earned my respect.”
“Haha! The Mystic Arts Order has truly brought honor to our nation. She deserves all the praise,” someone cheered.
“Who is Dusk Titan anyway? He’s just a filthy gorilla causing trouble in Dragonmarsh. He’s nothing but a speck of dust,” another person scoffed.
“This is what you get for provoking us,” someone else added.
The spectators felt a wave of relief and satisfaction. They had been angry after George insulted them, but the tournament rules stopped them from fighting back.
Now, after watching Abigail defeat George decisively, their anger faded. They even began to see the Mystic Arts Order in a better light. Regardless of their previous opinions, Abigail had brought honor to the nation and deserved praise.
“Madam Penelope, your granddaughter is fierce, and I like that,” Cyrus said with a rare smile. He admired her decisiveness and strength.
“You think this is fierce? If it were me, I would make that big brute suffer before he died. Letting him off easy would be a waste,” Penelope replied calmly.
Her words made Cyrus’s smile slip a little, and Alloy and Kaden, who were sitting nearby, exchanged uneasy looks.
They had almost forgotten that the truly cold-blooded one was sitting next to them. Compared to Penelope, Abigail’s earlier actions seemed almost merciful.
