He asked helplessly, “What did John do to you?” “Serenity is my friend and love guru. He’s targeting my love guru, threatening to ruin Serenity’s business by giving her bad ratings and closing her online store. That’s directly aimed at me.”
“Don’t you think what his family has done is inhumane? People will judge us if Stone Group keeps someone like him in a managerial position. You might think you know some individuals, but their true nature can be deceptive. Appearances can be misleading.”
Clive was at a loss for words.
He was rendered speechless by his sister’s unruliness.
The managing director of Aron PCB had reported to headquarters, confirming John’s talent. John started in a minor role at Aron PCB and worked his way up to deputy managing director.
The managing director did not want to lose his right-hand man over a family dispute, so he suspended John at the height of the scandal instead of firing him.
John turned pale as he listened to Elisa’s phone conversation.
He had finally realized that Elisa was the true force behind Serenity, not Jasmine.
John understood that Jasmine’s family gained wealth from the property boom and had little real authority. There was no way Jasmine could have caused trouble for the Hunts. It made much more sense that it had been Elisa all along.
The Stone Group had given Elisa the status and power to take down the Hunts.

“Shut up. I don’t want to hear a word from you, you cruel man. Your family got rich off the life insurance of Serenity’s parents. Yet, you chose to target Serenity and her sister. Aren’t you afraid that Serenity’s parents will haunt you?”
Elisa earned a negative reputation among the upper echelons of society.
Elisa was frustrated with Wiltspoon due to her unreasonable attitude. However, she was not inherently mean. Even if she hadn’t befriended Serenity, Elisa would still have disapproved of John’s and his family’s wrongdoings. “It’s your decision, Clive!”
Clive responded with resignation, “Understood. I’ll talk to Mr. Ziegel about letting John go. I can’t hire him, despite his talent, because he’s been bothering my sister. Will that suffice? Just don’t crash your car into a tree. We’d have to pay for any damage to the landscape.”
Seeing that her threat had an effect on her brother, Elisa cheerfully hung up the phone and addressed John, “Let me make this clear: if anything happens to Serenity’s shop, it’s your fault. If Serenity receives poor ratings for her online business, that’s on you. Don’t blame me for the consequences. I’ll ensure you struggle to find even the most basic jobs.”
The Hunt boys were left speechless.

“Leave! I don’t want to hear another word from you!”
With a stern expression, Elisa ordered the Hunts to exit.
“Serenity, grab the broom and kick them out if they refuse to go. Don’t waste your politeness on them.”
She then picked up a fruit basket and threw it out.
This was to make space for her desserts.
Now that they recognized who Elisa was, the Hunts were too intimidated to speak. John, looking pale, stepped forward to carry out the two fruit baskets while the others took the remaining baskets away.
