She hurried a few steps to Audrey, who was sitting on the sofa, and said respectfully, “Madam, Miss Bianca has arrived. She mentioned she is looking for Mr. Silver Fox.”
The Silver Fox turned around and waved to Bianca, saying, “Hello, dear! We’re here.”
Audrey was unaware that Silver Fox had summoned the cute baby.
As Silver Fox greeted Bianca, Audrey glanced over and noticed a young girl, likely a year or two younger than Elisa. Though dressed simply, she had a striking presence and appeared slightly timid. Yet, as she approached, she seemed surprisingly confident.
Overall, Audrey’s first impression of the cute baby was one of intriguing contradictions.
Uncertain whether Bianca was Silver Fox’s granddaughter or apprentice, Audrey refrained from making assumptions. However, regardless of her relationship to Silver Fox, Bianca could not be timid or ineffectual.
She might be playing the part of a naive person while actually being quite capable.
After all, how could a student of such esteemed mentors be timid or afraid of challenges?
Bianca approached.
Silver Fox introduced her to everyone in the Stone family.
The cute baby politely greeted Audrey and the others.
Once she finished her greetings, Ezequiel (Silver Fox) told Audrey, “This is one of my many disciples, Bianca. She is twenty-six years old. Although she may seem a bit naive and timid due to everyone’s kindness, don’t let that fool you.”
Audrey nodded and smiled at Bianca.
Since Silver Fox didn’t reveal his apprentice’s name, everyone continued to refer to her as the cute baby.
Elisa always found it amusing to hear the term “cute baby.”
Bianca wanted to laugh at the baby’s name, but she restrained herself as it would be impolite. Fortunately, the adorable baby didn’t have the typical baby face. If she had, then upon hearing her name and seeing her face, people might have perceived her as an exceptionally cute infant—one that resembled a small child.
Bianca greeted the elderly miracle doctor and others once more. Several older individuals looked at her with warmth. Just by observing her, Audrey and the others could tell that the charming baby was well-loved.
Bianca claimed to be Silver Fox’s apprentice, but in truth, she was also learning from all the elderly individuals present. She absorbed a wealth of knowledge and honed her skills diligently.
This wasn’t unique to her; it likely applied to everyone else as well. After all, a few older gentlemen often gathered together to offer guidance to the younger generation.
For most apprentices, their master’s abilities stand out the most, but that wasn’t the case for Bianca. She had acquired the same skills from various families, making it challenging to determine which master she truly belonged to based on her abilities alone.
Silver Fox always remarked that his apprentice was a shared asset among everyone.
“Where’s the old man?” Bianca inquired, noticing several older gentlemen but not seeing the loyal uncle, as Audrey referred to him.
Uncle Jimenez never revealed his name in front of the younger members of the group.
As a result, the young people he had watched grow up were unaware of his name. Many of his old friends respected his choice, and since he preferred not to share it, they never mentioned it either.
Consequently, the younger generation referred to Uncle Jimenez simply as ‘Old Man’ since he was the eldest among the elderly.
“Your old man is still resting. He hasn’t had much sleep these past few days. He came here early this morning, feeling exhausted and unwell, with considerable mood swings. He took the medicine prescribed by your miracle doctor, so let him rest properly,” Silver Fox explained in response to Bianca’s inquiry.
Bianca inquired with worry, “Is the old man alright?”
The silver fox replied, “It’s nothing serious. He was just overly excited.”
Bianca felt a sense of relief.
