Chapter 3358
-Duncan’s eyes sparkled with excitement at the thought of his wedding to Liberty.
Desmond smiled and replied, “That’s right, your wedding shouldn’t be overshadowed by your two close friends. You don’t need to wait until evening to tell your parents. Just inform them in the family group chat later.”
Duncan responded, “Um.”
Desmond inquired, “Is everything going well for Liberty in Jensburg? If she needs assistance, she can always reach out. Although we are far away, we are still here to help her.”
After Duncan’s car accident, Liberty took care of him, and the Lewis family began to see her as their future daughter-in-law. If Liberty requires help in Jensburg, the Lewis family will never remain indifferent.

Duncan leaned back in his chair and said, “She doesn’t need help yet. Even if she faces challenges, she’ll find a way to overcome them herself. Watching her grow stronger little by little changes my perspective. Once I’ve taken care of my company’s matters, I will go to Jensburg to support her so she can focus without worries. The company in Jensburg was initially funded by several of our families, and I’m also managing my own business.”
“Going to Jensburg again?”
Desmond’s smile faded, and he frowned as he said, “Given your current difficulties, it’s best not to travel too much. Moreover, the New Year is approaching, and Liberty will surely return for the holiday. Just wait for her to come back to Wiltspoon.”
Duncan replied, “I really want to help her. I can assist with taking care of Sonny.”
He then asked Desmond, “Brother, what was it like when you and my sister-in-law were deeply in love? Did you often find yourselves apart?”
decision.” After a moment of silence, he added, “Since you’ve made your choice, I won’t interfere. This matter is between you and Liberty. You both can discuss it together. Is kindergarten going on winter break this week?”
Duncan hadn’t kept track of the kindergarten’s holiday schedule for quite some time, particularly since his youngest niece was in kindergarten.
“Sonny won’t be going. He mentioned he’d prefer to go to Annenburg to spend time with his friend, as he thinks Jensburg is too cold. He doesn’t require my supervision either. Serenity and Zachary take excellent care of him. If they’re unable to bring Sonny back to Wildridge Manor, there are plenty of family members eager to do so.”
“Zachary mentioned that when he and his wife return to Wildridge Manor, their mother would scold them if they didn’t bring Sonny along,” he added with a chuckle.
Desmond smiled and remarked, “That child is truly charming. Duncan, have you thought about having another child after you and Liberty are married? I know you have a close bond with Sonny, but he is, after all, a Brown and not your biological son. Liberty is a few years younger than you, and since you’ve obtained your marriage certificate, it might be wise to prioritize starting a family. Regardless of whether you have children or not, having one of your own would strengthen your bond even further.”
The Lewis family has embraced Liberty and no longer harbors any negative feelings about her being a divorced woman.
However, once they marry, the family hopes Liberty and Duncan will have a child, whether it’s a son or daughter; they desire a child that belongs to Duncan.
No matter how wonderful Sonny is, the Lewis family still views him as a child of the Brown family.
Duncan’s laughter faded as he stated seriously, “The decision to have a second child depends on Liberty.”
“I won’t bring it up with her, nor will I ask her for a child,” he stated.
“Even though Sonny isn’t my biological son, if I treat him as my own and guide him into adulthood, he will respect me as his father. Besides, I don’t expect anything in return. This child is meant for me; I simply care for him.”
Desmond sighed. “My parents are concerned that you love Liberty too much and may not consider having a child of your own. They worry but choose not to express their feelings in front of Liberty, fearing it might make her uncomfortable. You two are facing issues again. You really need to discuss the topic of children with Liberty.”
“After marriage, my mom will likely bring it up with Liberty, which will make her uncomfortable and could strain your relationship. It’s better to address the issue of having children before marrying.”
