Chapter 3365
Kathryn encountered Marco as he stepped out of the elevator.
Both siblings paused.
Marco exited the elevator first, while Kathryn took her time before entering.
“Kathryn, do you want to go out?”
Marco held a folder in his hand, likely containing a document that required Kathryn’s signature.
Since Clarissa was not at the office, all important seals had been entrusted to Kathryn for safekeeping.
Numerous crucial documents needed Kathryn’s signature and seal to take effect.
In the past, Marco would ask his secretary to handle such tasks, rarely coming in person.
Kathryn calmly hummed and replied, “I need to step out for something, brother. What’s up?”
She glanced at the folder in Marco’s hand.
Marco didn’t offer the folder, saying, “There’s a document that requires your signature and seal.”
“Can you wait until later? Is there a rush?” Marco inquired gently.
His words carried a hint of hesitation.
Kathryn’s whereabouts were often a mystery to her three brothers, and they only managed to track her down when she was meeting clients for business.
It wasn’t that they hadn’t tried sending people to follow her.
However, those attempts would quickly backfire, resulting in Kathryn’s anger, after which she would complain to Clarissa, leading to their scolding as well.
Assistant Pedro Fraser, who worked with Kathryn, was just as competent as the assistant working with Clarissa.
“It’s just a small matter. I’ll sign and stamp it for you right away,” Kathryn said.
She didn’t disclose her plans to Marco and turned to head back to her office.
Marco stood in silence for a moment before walking away, quickly catching up with Kathryn. The brother and sister did not speak. The secretary noticed them and greeted them with respect. As they entered the office, the secretary muttered, “Manager Janzen is very friendly with Vice President Farrell. The siblings always seem to be talking and laughing when they are together.” The vice president referred to Shiloh.
Upon entering the office, Kathryn naturally settled into her seat and waited for Marco to approach with the folder in his hand. She took the folder, opened it, and examined the documents inside.
“Kathryn, did Mom mention when she’d be back?” Marco asked gently.
Kathryn replied, “Mom didn’t specify when she would return, and she probably won’t keep us updated. She doesn’t like revealing her whereabouts.”
Marco hummed thoughtfully, then sighed, saying, “Regarding the situation with your sister-in-law, I still need Mom to come back and speak to my mother-in-law for some leniency. I’ve done many wrong things to your sister-in-law. For the sake of the children, I don’t want a divorce.”
Kathryn didn’t look up; instead, she pointedly asked, “Brother, you’re hesitant to give up your property to your sister-in-law, aren’t you? She has tolerated your infidelity and chosen to forgive you, but you shouldn’t have gotten involved with Shiloh. Even though Shiloh isn’t your biological sister, she grew up with you, and you’ve always treated her as such. Before I returned, my sisters-in-law regarded her as their only sister-in-law and treated her better than their own siblings.
Brother, you got involved with Shiloh and were caught by your sister-in-law. You even helped Shiloh assault her. No one can overlook that. Moreover, you have a daughter. If your daughter…
If you were to encounter someone like my sister-in-law in the future, would you feel sympathy for her? I imagine you would be furious and want to confront your son-in-law. Likewise, my sister-in-law was also raised by her parents and has her own siblings. Her relatives will feel sympathy for her, be angry, and may want to confront you as well.
