Chapter 3386
Audrey, who was just a few years old in his memories, had already become a grandmother.
Everyone had grown old.
The granddaughters of the previous matriarch were all married with children.
If the previous matriarch were still alive, she would undoubtedly be thrilled to have three strong granddaughters. There would be no need to worry about success; she could trust any one of them to bear the heavy responsibilities without concern.
It is unfortunate that the previous matriarch could not witness the accomplishments of her descendants.
Upon waking, Old Mr. Jimenez realized he was not dreaming; everything was real. He truly saw Audrey, which caused him to burst into tears.
He thought of the previous matriarch and felt a deep sense of sorrow for her.
The eldest sister was like a mother, having raised Clarissa, but ultimately fell victim to her.
The previous matriarch regarded Clarissa as both sister and daughter, showering her with love and trust. Indeed, the only one capable of harming the head of the family was Clarissa herself.
Clarissa’s younger sister lacked such ambitions and was known to be gentle and kind. Yet, despite her temperament, Clarissa did not allow her to thrive.
“Knock, knock.”
A knock sounded at the door.

“Uncle Jimenez, Uncle Jimenez, are you awake?”
Audrey’s voice called from outside the door.
Uncle Jimenez wiped his tears, sat up, and quickly composed himself before responding to Audrey: “Ms. Audrey, I’m awake.”
Shortly after, Audrey and Darrell opened the door and entered.
As soon as they stepped in, Audrey turned on the light.
“Uncle Jimenez.”
The couple approached and offered to support Old Mr. Jimenez, but he declined their help.
support.
Uncle Jimenez smiled and said, “I feel much better now. I slept for an entire day, and it’s already dark outside. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in a long time. After meeting Miss Audrey, I believe nothing will happen to me.”
However, he was still very worried.
After being rescued by the miracle doctor and his companions, he lived with them for decades. He was typically reserved and seldom shared his thoughts with them.
They took the initiative to learn about his past and gradually verified it with him.
Over the years, he slowly grew to trust them, and they became close friends.
Though they all had apprentices, he never accepted any. Nevertheless, their apprentices were familiar with him and treated him with the respect due to an elder.
Whenever he saw his friends’ apprentices, he would think of the two daughters of the previous matriarch.
If the Farrell family had not changed ownership, Audrey would have become the head of the family long ago, and Harlow would not have had to die.
“The old gentleman and his friends are downstairs. Let him check Uncle Jimenez’s pulse later.”
Audrey smiled and added, “Old Madam York is here too. Would you like to meet her, Uncle Jimenez? Everyone is downstairs.”
It was mealtime.
Audrey and her husband had come upstairs to wake Uncle Jimenez and invite him down for dinner.
Serenity, Zachery, the old lady, Remy, Callum, and Camryn were all present.
With the presence of esteemed figures like Old Mr. Jimenez, the gathering was lively tonight.
Uncle Jimenez nodded. “I know Madam York. She was quite fierce in her youth. Her husband may not measure up to her, but they share a wonderful relationship. He is the most devoted man I’ve ever seen. Madam York enjoys her freedom and can have whatever she wants thanks to her husband’s affection.”
Uncle Jimenez discussed Old Madam York’s history while casting two brief glances at Darrell.
