Chapter 3588
Bianca had not planned to stay in Wiltspoon for long. She originally intended to check out and leave today, but when Camryn called and invited her to hang out, she decided to extend her stay by two more days.
Her company was quite busy, and her sisters were frustrated with her for being away so much recently.
The old lady understood the real reason Bianca had left, so she didn’t pressure her to return. However, Bianca knew she couldn’t stay much longer; there was a lot of work awaiting her.
The old lady smiled and said, “If the food is good, eat more and stay a few extra days.”
“Grandma York, I’m busy with work. I only took time off to visit because my master was here. Now that my master has gone back, I need to return to work.”
The old lady took her hand and suggested, “I’ll call your family and ask them to let you stay in Wiltspoon a few more days. How does that sound?”
Bianca replied, “Grandma York, I promise to visit again during the New Year holiday. I really can’t stay any longer now. Camryn has been insisting that I spend time with her today.”
It felt as if Grandma York understood who Bianca truly was.
Bianca recalled her behavior at Wildridge Manor, ensuring she hadn’t inadvertently revealed her true identity. Only her master had mentioned that her family also owned a company.
“Alright, young people are busy. So, it’s settled—you’ll visit during the New Year holiday. I’ll have New Year gifts and a big red envelope ready for you.”
“Thank you, Grandma York,” Bianca smiled and expressed her gratitude.
“You came to see Camryn, so you should go over to her place. She should be up by now.”
When the old lady heard that Camryn had invited Bianca…
Bianca mentioned that Camryn was persistent and speculated that Camryn was assisting someone, but she chose not to elaborate.
The old lady was curious about when her oblivious grandson, Evan, would figure out that Bianca was actually Abby and Fox. Although Bianca could easily disguise herself and adopt a new persona, the old lady could always recognize her, regardless of how well she hid. Nevertheless, she opted not to disclose anything, allowing Bianca to continue her ruse. The old lady thought that when the time came for Evan to pursue Bianca in tears, she would certainly find it amusing.
“Alright, I’ll say goodbye to you first, and then I’ll head over to Camryn’s,” Bianca said.
Bianca remained seated, taking her time to leave. After conversing with the old lady for a while, she quietly inquired, “Grandma York, Evan isn’t home, is he?”
“I’m not sure. They go wherever they please and won’t inform me unless it’s New Year’s or another holiday. Then they will definitely return to keep this old lady company,” she replied.
The old lady was aware of Evan’s whereabouts but chose not to reveal that information. She didn’t even ask Bianca why she was inquiring about him, as she simply wasn’t interested.
After a brief pause, Bianca stated, “Grandma York, I’ll go see Camryn now.”
The old lady responded warmly, “Go ahead.”
She didn’t accompany her.
Once Bianca had left, the old lady called her friends down the mountain, asking, “Is everyone there?”
After receiving confirmation, she hung up the phone, stood up, and prepared to leave.
If she couldn’t visit Jensburg, she would go play cards instead. She would only return if her son called her back; otherwise, she might lose all the cash she had on her.
Her friends often ended up losing money to her, as the old lady was quite lucky and frequently won.
