Chapter 3673
11:260.
Married At First Sight c – After hearing the butler, Kathryn paused, then turned and walked toward the mansion door.
Pedro naturally followed her.
Holden suddenly noticed how confidently his real daughter walked. The stand-in resembled her but lacked the same authority in her stride.
He felt frustrated for not realizing sooner that the daughter at home was an imposter. Had he known earlier that Clarissa was still planning something drastic, he would have sent his three sons away sooner. Now, it might be too late to escape.
Kathryn had indicated that if Clarissa frightened them, they should leave.
After Clarissa and Kathryn departed, the butler followed suit. Holden addressed his three sons, “Now you see, your mother only cares about saving your sister and doesn’t care about the three of you. I’m the only one who does. I told you to return to my hometown or skip tonight’s dinner, but you didn’t listen.
Can you leave now? If you do, what will Audrey and the others think? It could ruin your mother’s plan, and you’ll be in trouble.”
Marco and his brothers were left speechless. They understood now. Realizing that Kathryn at home was a stand-in, they finally recognized how their parents favored their sister.

Their mother wasn’t merely showing favoritism toward a daughter—she was safeguarding the family’s future. Kathryn was the successor.
It wasn’t about favoring daughters over sons; it was about preserving the family’s leadership through Kathryn, ensuring that the Farrell family lineage continued through her.
So what if they were sons?
Even with more of them, their mother wouldn’t show as much affection.
“Dad, I’m sorry. We didn’t understand and were too hopeful,” Marco apologized to Holden before quietly asking, “Dad, do you know Mom’s plan? What is she planning? Is she going to poison
“Everyone?” Holden wanted to respond, but he suddenly felt a cold gaze upon him. Instinctively, he turned to see Clarissa, who had gone upstairs and was now angry with Kathryn. He quickly lowered his head and whispered to his sons, “Your mother is downstairs now. You can’t leave, but there’s still a way to stay safe. Tonight, stay close to Kathryn.”
Even though his wife was furious with their daughter, she would still protect her if something were to happen. Therefore, it would be safer for his sons to remain with Kathryn. Additionally, Kathryn had Pedro with her, who was capable and could help ensure her safety.
If they stayed with Kathryn, could she truly bear the thought of watching her brothers perish?
Holden approached Clarissa with a smile. “Clarissa, the butler mentioned that your niece and others have arrived. There are so many people, and cars are lined up outside. Kathryn went out to greet them. Should we go out too? They are honored guests, and your niece is the daughter of the former matriarch. If she were still alive, your niece would likely be in your position now.”
Clarissa shot Holden a frosty glare and replied, “Don’t stir the pot. She’s already prepared to fight me to the bitter end without your assistance. I am the elder, and regardless of her status in Wiltspoon, she is still younger than I. Do you expect me to go out and welcome her?”
Clarissa then walked over to the sofa and sat down, ignoring Audrey and the others. However, she commanded her three sons, “Marco, what are you and your brothers doing standing there like statues? Go greet your cousin.”
