Married At First Sight Chapter 3695 – “Mom, no!”
Kathryn screamed as she tried to rush over. Suddenly, a gunshot echoed through the air. She watched in horror as her mother’s body began to collapse.
“Mom!” Kathryn hurried forward, catching her mother’s limp body just in time. The gun her mother had been holding fell to the ground.
“Mom, Mom…” Kathryn sobbed, holding her tightly.
Clarissa opened her eyes and looked at her daughter. She wanted to say something, but no words came out.
In her fading vision, she saw her older and younger sisters. Her older sister gazed at her with a stern expression, while her younger sister appeared furious. Of course, they were angry—she had killed them.
“Sister… I’m sorry…”
Clarissa whispered her apology, reaching out to her sisters. Then her eyes slowly closed, but a faint smile graced her lips.
She felt a sense of peace now. She had finally apologized to them.
She recognized her wrongdoing; she should never have murdered her sisters for power and influence.
Their parents had died young, and her eldest sister had taken on a maternal role, raising her and their younger sister through numerous hardships. Yet, she had repaid that kindness with cruelty, taking both of their lives.
She was a killer, the greatest sinner in the Farrell family.
It wasn’t just her sisters—she had also taken many other lives. Anyone who even hinted at knowing the truth had been silenced by her.
Clarissa believed that only the dead could keep secrets. She thought no one could ever testify against her.
But decades later, all her misdeeds were exposed, one by one. She had no defense, and she no longer desired one.
Her daughter once asked if she regretted killing those closest to her.
night began to fade.
She did. Many nights, she woke up crying from dreams of her sisters. But it was too late; the damage had been done, and there was no way to undo it. Regret wouldn’t change anything. All she could do was cling to what she had sacrificed so much to obtain. Tonight, she had lost it all—the very thing for which she had killed so many. In the end, it had never truly belonged to her.
Clarissa’s hands fell limp. “Mom, Mom!” Kathryn cried, embracing her mother’s still-warm body, tears streaming down her face. No amount of weeping or screaming could bring her back. Her mother had died seeking forgiveness.
Before she passed, she had called for her sister. She realized she had been wrong and had betrayed her family. If she could turn back time, she would have never taken that fateful path.
Upon hearing the gunshot, everyone rushed outside. When they saw that Clarissa had chosen death over facing justice, they fell silent. No one spoke. Pedro helped Kathryn support Clarissa’s body, offering no words of comfort, allowing her to cry out her pain, knowing it was the only way she could heal.
Mr. Dunn, who had just returned to the Farrell mansion, jumped out of his car and rushed inside with his men. As he ran, he heard Kathryn’s cries. Suddenly, he halted, and his men did too. “Madam is gone, and my duty is over,” Mr. Dunn murmured. He knelt down, bowing three times toward the house before rising and walking away. His men, confused but loyal, followed him.
Outside, Mr. Dunn got into his car alone, instructing the others not to follow. Then he drove off. The night deepened, but as always, after the darkest hour, the dawn began to approach.
The light returned, marking the start of a new day.
