Chapter 3747
麻豆冰冰霜
The young couple exchanged smiles as they glanced at Trenton.
“How much money did you give your second sister?” Camryn inquired gently. She could have been harsh and refused to help Carrie, but she chose a different path.
Trenton couldn’t bring himself to completely ignore his sister; he wasn’t that heartless.
Although Carrie hadn’t treated him especially well, she hadn’t been terrible either. At least she never bullied or harmed him.
However, Carrie had consistently been awful to Camryn, their eldest sister, showing her no respect. Their relationship was strained and distant.
Despite this, after taking charge of the family, Camryn refrained from seeking revenge on Carrie, reminding herself that they shared the same mother.
“I… I gave her $50,000,” Trenton confessed. “She said the New Year is approaching and she needed money for celebration items and new clothes.”
He lowered his gaze, avoiding Camryn’s eyes, fearing that she would scold him.

Camryn studied Trenton for a moment but remained silent. Instead, she pulled out her phone and showed him a surveillance video of Carrie at the flower shop, where she pretended to be Mrs. Labbe and hired someone to act on her behalf.
She had saved the video on her device.
Trenton braced himself for reprimand, but when he looked up, Camryn simply handed him her phone. Confused, he asked, “Sister, what is this?”
“Watch this video,” Camryn replied calmly. “Go sit at the cashier’s desk and take your time. Verify if the woman in the video is truly your second sister. Let me know if you have any questions when you get home tonight.”
Without further explanation, Camryn allowed Trenton to view the footage on his own.
Curious, Trenton asked, “Can…
“Can you send it to my phone? I’ll watch it later.” As some customers entered the shop, Trenton stood up to assist, but Callum had already taken over, so he sat back down. Camryn forwarded the video and then went to help the customers.
Seeing that he wasn’t needed, Trenton settled at the cashier’s desk and began watching the video. Carrie appeared in it, acting as she usually did—targeting Camryn as if Camryn owed her a significant debt. Her demeanor towards Camryn was hostile. At first glance, nothing seemed amiss, but Trenton sensed that Camryn wouldn’t have shown him the video without a reason. He replayed it several times, and eventually, something clicked. Carrie appeared different; her arrogance seemed forced, almost like a performance, and her usual confidence was absent. There was something off about her demeanor, though he couldn’t quite pinpoint what it was.
When Camryn finished with the customers, Trenton spoke up. “I think something’s wrong with the second sister in this video.” Camryn asked, “Are you sure it’s her? Does the woman next to her look familiar?”
Trenton hesitated. The woman in the video acted like Carrie, but something felt off. After all, Carrie had just been in the shop, created a scene, and he had given her $50,000. Despite their brief time together, they were still siblings, and he felt confident he could recognize her.
