Chapter 3757
Serenity hummed softly and fell silent. Before long, she drifted off to sleep. Zachary, noticing her lack of response, glanced over and saw she was already dozing. He smiled and remarked, “You fall asleep so quickly.”
He admired her ability to fall asleep effortlessly. For him, it was a different experience. When he lay down, his mind raced with thoughts, making it difficult for him to unwind. It often took him at least an hour to finally fall asleep unless he had a drink to help him relax.
Gently, he reached out and caressed Serenity’s face, feeling as if he could never get enough of her presence. “Seren, I love you, and I always will,” he whispered softly in her ear.
He then placed his hand lightly on her belly, hoping the baby was resting too. Although he received no response from the baby, Zachary felt pure happiness—having a loving wife by his side and a baby on the way.
Content, Zachary closed his eyes.

Content, Zachary closed his eyes.
At the Farrell mansion:
“Why won’t you let us in? This is our home! We just want to retrieve our things—why can’t we go inside?”
“Exactly, this is our family’s house! We were born here, grew up here, and it belongs to us as much as anyone else.”
“My sister is now the head of the Farrell family since our mother has passed. As her brothers, we have the right to be in our home.”
Marco and his brothers stood outside the gates of the Farrell mansion, arguing with the guards who refused them entry.
After Clarissa’s passing, Kathryn didn’t immediately take control of the family. Instead, Audrey, the eldest daughter, replaced all the servants in the mansion with her own staff, asserting her dominance.
Now, aside from Kathryn and Pedro, none of the other family members…
Marco and his brothers were free to come and go as they pleased. To Audrey, they were no more significant than strangers. She never held them in high regard, particularly due to her dislike for Clarissa and her disapproval of the family’s management.
Kathryn had previously told Audrey that if it turned out Clarissa had gained power by harming her own sisters, she would return everything in the family to Audrey. Interestingly, Kathryn was the one who informed Audrey that Marco and his brothers were attempting to enter the mansion that day. She advised Audrey to feel no obligation toward them and to prevent their reentry.
Kathryn suspected that her brothers aimed to steal the valuable antiques and treasures within the mansion—heirlooms passed down through generations of their family leaders. She was aware of their long-standing desire for these items. Even during their mother Clarissa’s life, Marco and his brothers had pressured her to either hand over some treasures or sell them to divide the profits. Despite her shortcomings, Clarissa had always refused to touch those family heirlooms. Although she had acquired much of the family’s wealth for herself, she never dared to take the valuable heirlooms passed down through generations. Her priority was always to protect them.
Clarissa had amassed a significant portion of the family’s wealth for herself, yet she never dared to take the valuable heirlooms passed down through generations. Her priority was always to safeguard the family’s legacy.
