Chapter 395
Liberty shook her head at Serenity.
No matter how much Liberty argued with Hank, it was ultimately a dispute between husband and wife. At most, the Browns would come to pick Hank up and take him back to their home to recover.
If Liberty were to hit Jessica, it would be perceived as a wife attacking a mistress. Everyone would consider it justified, and Jessica would likely refrain from retaliating due to guilt.
However, if Serenity intervened by confronting Hank and Jessica on Liberty’s behalf, the Browns would take legal action against her and demand compensation for medical expenses. Jessica would likely do the same.
Liberty did not want her sister to be exploited.
She pulled Serenity back firmly and said softly, “Just trust me. I can handle this.”
Serenity and Zachary only needed to take photos and videos as evidence for Liberty.
“Hank.”
Liberty wiped her tears and asked him, “Do you really want a divorce?”
Hank replied firmly, “Yes, I want to divorce you!” “Sonny is still so young. How can you abandon us?” Hank responded coldly, “Liberty, go home for now. Let’s take some time to cool off and discuss the divorce on Saturday.”
Liberty glared at Jessica, teeth clenched.
Hank positioned himself in front of Jessica again, fearing that Liberty might rush over to confront her. “Liberty, let me…” “Seren, let’s go!”
Liberty grabbed her sister, shot a glare at the cheating couple, and declared, “Hank, I’ll be waiting for you this Saturday to discuss the divorce!”
After saying this, she forcefully led her sister out of the room. Spotting Zachary, Liberty asked softly, “Did you get any footage?”
While Liberty was confronting the scumbags, she noticed her brother-in-law capturing evidence on his phone.

“Let’s go,” Liberty said as she nodded. She took her sister’s hand and walked away, with Zachary following quietly behind them. The three of them stepped into the elevator.
Liberty no longer appeared as strong as she had earlier; she leaned weakly against the wall of the elevator. Although she was ready for the divorce, seeing Hank protect Jessica made her feel despondent. Hank had hit her, scolded her, and filed for divorce to be with Jessica.
They had known each other for twelve years, dated for seven, and been married for three. Now, all of that was coming to an end. Was marriage truly the graveyard of romance?
“Liberty…” Serenity approached and embraced her sister.
“I’m fine,” Liberty replied, though she no longer felt like crying. It seemed pointless to shed tears over that scumbag. Earlier, her tears had been both an act and a way to release her emotions. After all, they had been together for twelve years, so it would be dishonest to say she was unaffected by the divorce.
She needed to express her feelings, so she used the act of crying as a way to release the pain she was experiencing.
