“Julian, it’s nice to finally meet you,” Zachary said, extending his hand.
“I’ve heard a lot about you, Zachary. Now that I’ve met you in person, I can see that you’re just as legendary as they say,” Julian replied, shaking Zachary’s hand. He then invited Zachary to take a seat.
“Mr. York, you really didn’t need to bring so many gifts,” Julian remarked.
“Don’t worry about it,” Zachary responded.
Zachary frequently enlisted Josh’s help for investigations, utilizing the Buchams’ extensive network of information. Julian controlled this intelligence, so Josh assisting Zachary was effectively Julian offering his support as well.
Julian was typically elusive, which meant Zachary rarely had the opportunity to meet him in person. It was a rare occasion that Julian was home tonight, prompting Zachary to hurry over.
After exchanging some pleasantries, Josh handed Zachary a yellow envelope. “This is the evidence you requested. We wouldn’t have realized how shocking it is if we hadn’t dug into it. Your scumbag brother-in-law has over a million dollars in savings.”
“His greed is growing, and he’s earning more side income. I think it would be thrilling to present this evidence to his boss,” Zachary replied.
In reality, there was no need to suppress Waltham Electronics. Simply presenting evidence of Hank’s bribes and commissions to Waltham’s CEO would effectively end Hank’s managerial career.
