Charlie wade felt a bit embarrassed. Gu Qiuyi smiled and said, “You were so shy back then! You hardly talked or played with me. I always had to come find you.”

Gu Qiuyi beamed and asked, “Brother Charlie wade, how about spending noon with my family on your birthday? My parents would be thrilled! What do you think?”
Charlie considered the time. Gu Qiuyi quickly added, “I know you’ll want to have dinner with your wife at home, so I made the concert start at eight o’clock in the evening. That way, you can eat at home at six, celebrate with your wife and father-in-law, and leave for the concert by seven.”
She continued, “Since you’ll be having dinner at home, you don’t need to eat at noon, right?” Then, with a hopeful tone, she urged, “Brother Charlie wade, my parents traveled a long way. You should at least give them a chance to celebrate your birthday with you! And I remember how special it was to blow out the candles and make a wish while everyone sang. Wouldn’t that be nice?”
