His subordinate responded, “The BMW is registered to Jinling Emgrand Group.”

He wanted to find out if it was a 520 or a 760 because it would help him determine if the car belonged to the Emgrand Group. If it turned out to be a BMW 760, then all the evidence would confirm that it was indeed an Emgrand Group car. But if it was just a regular 520, it would mean that the information his subordinates had provided was incorrect.
