Next to the cake stood a boy who looked a bit older than Gu Qiuyi. He wore a birthday crown and, with his hands together in front of his nose, bowed his head and closed his eyes to make a wish. Because he was bowing, his face wasn’t visible in the video.

Suddenly, the video froze, and subtitles appeared on the screen: “This girl who loves to sing and dance is only three and a half years old. She is Gu Qiuyi.” When her name was shown, the fans erupted into loud cheers. Many were amazed at how cute and pretty Gu Qiuyi was as a child.

Then, more subtitles appeared: “And this boy who silently made a wish is her Prince Charming.” The crowd went wild! Fans couldn’t believe their idol had a Prince Charming from such a young age. Was this hinting at a love story?

Just then, the screen went black and switched to an old video. In this one, Gu Qiuyi was a little older, still wearing a lovely dress, singing and dancing around the cake. The same boy was there, bowing his head to make another wish, but his face was still hidden.

Next, there’s a picture of nine-year-old Gu Qiuyi sitting in the back of an old red car. The scenery outside the window is a blur as the car speeds along. The subtitle states: “Nine-year-old Gu Qiuyi is once again traveling south with her parents in search of Prince Charming.”

Then, we see ten-year-old Gu Qiuyi standing at a port in New York, looking sad. The famous Statue of Liberty is behind her. The subtitle explains: “Ten-year-old Gu Qiuyi came to the United States with her father, but they returned without finding him.”

The photos keep coming, showing Gu Qiuyi at eleven and twelve years old. As the images progress, we see her growing from a small girl into a graceful young woman.

Through all these years, Gu Qiuyi has never given up on looking for her Prince Charming.
