“Why has Mr. Yaleman chosen to host the banquet at the White family mansion?” Charlie asked, feeling suspicious.

Jasmine elaborated, “The White family has been facing challenges lately. Both Kevin and his cousin Gerald have encountered troubles, resulting in a downturn for the family’s business. They have implored Mr. Yaleman to visit their home, hoping he can alter their Feng Shui and improve their fortunes.”

Continuing, she added, “Since Mr. Yaleman has also invited several metaphysics experts to the banquet, I suspect he has ulterior motives beyond just making money from the White family.”

Charlie smiled and replied casually, “I think he might be trying to get back at me for outbidding him at the auction earlier. It seems he wants to set me up. What do you think?”
