“No, no! He… he isn’t human! He’s a god!”

“Please, don’t let the lightning strike me! I’ll kneel and apologize to Mr. Wade right away!”

“Someone help me! I was wrong!”

Several guests dropped to their knees, bowing before Charlie.

Graham stood frozen, utterly shocked.

Yet, the lightning only targeted the black mosquitoes, reducing them to coal while leaving everyone unharmed.

At that moment, Jack was consumed by a mix of shock and fear!

He could never have imagined that Charlie possessed such immense power!

Jack felt like nothing more than an insignificant ant compared to Charlie!

If that fierce lightning were to strike him, he knew he would be dead in an instant!

Panic set in for Jack. He quickly scrambled to his feet and fled the courtyard, desperate to escape Aurous Hill and vowing never to return. How could such a formidable figure exist in Aurous Hill?

“Are you trying to run away?”

With a smile, Charlie raised his hand to the sky and commanded, “Thunder, fall!”

Boom!

Thunder roared as lightning struck the black porcelain jar in Jack’s grasp, causing him to collapse to the ground.

Jack felt excruciating pain in his hands, trembling in fear as he begged for mercy.

“Mr. Wade… Master… please spare my life.”

Charlie approached Jack with a cold, unyielding gaze, step by step.

“How could you resort to corpse magic from a dead fetus? Do you realize how harmful this is to the world? It’s shocking that you could be so depraved! This is an unforgivable crime!”

“Evil must be punished by the heavens! Today, I will deliver your punishment with thunder and lightning! Do you accept your fate?”

Jack could only stare at Charlie, mouth agape, utterly speechless. All he could do was watch the lightning flash amidst the dark clouds, holding back his sorrow. It felt as though he was staring at the end of his life…

Why? Why was there such a terrifying force in Aurous Hill? Why had he chosen the wrong path?

Boom!

Before Jack could grasp what was happening, multiple lightning strikes hit him in rapid succession.

Once arrogant and bold, Jack was brought to the ground before he could utter a sound.

In an instant, his human form was gone, consumed by flames, leaving only a horrific burnt smell lingering in the courtyard.

“Cease the rain and winds!”

Charlie waved his hands, and miraculously, the thunderstorm subsided. A gentle breeze swept through the courtyard, carrying away the stench of the charred remains.

Charlie remained calm, as if nothing had transpired at all.

Meanwhile, the guests stood in stunned silence, their mouths agape.

Adam trembled, rendered speechless. He realized that if Charlie had chosen to target him, he would have met a similar fate long ago. It was Charlie’s grace and mercy that had spared him, and that realization hit him hard.

“Mr. Wade, you… you are a god!”

Graham stuttered, kneeling before Charlie in reverence.

Terrified, Zeke quickly followed suit, bowing low before Charlie.

“Mr. Wade, please forgive me. I was so blinded by Mr. Yaleman that I didn’t see the truth. I’m truly sorry for everything I’ve said and done. Please, I will do anything you command from now on…”

Charlie glanced at Zeke with indifference, walking past him without a second thought.

Suddenly, Finn spoke up respectfully, “I believe Mr. Wade should lead the metaphysics circle from now on! From this moment forward, everyone in the Newton metaphysics circle will follow Mr. Wade’s guidance!”

Just moments ago, everyone had been vying for leadership, but now, the guests unanimously agreed, convinced by Finn’s proclamation.

“Yes, Mr. Wade, please lead us in Aurous Hill!”
