Bright and early the following morning, Charlie grabbed the villa key and access cards that Zeke had handed him as he drove to the Thompson First sales center alongside his wife.

After a short drive, they reached the entrance of the Thompson First sales center.

At that moment, the sales center was buzzing with activity. It appeared that the residents of Aurous Hill were quite keen on the properties offered by Thompson First Development Company, despite the fact that many of them may not have the means to afford them.

Noticing the large turnout, Claire pulled Charlie aside and said, “Charlie, look at all these people! We really can’t afford any of these properties, so why don’t we just go somewhere else?”

Charlie smiled and replied, “My dear wife, since we’ve already made the trip, how about we go inside and take a look? We have nothing to lose, and I’m genuinely curious about the properties from this company. Will you join me?”

Resigned, Claire responded, “Alright, I suppose it’s finally time for us to check out what Thompson First Development Company has to offer.”

Once inside the sales center, a large crowd had gathered around a massive table where a property guide was explaining the overall living conditions in the Thompson First Villas community.

The area developed by the company in Aurous Hill was impressively extensive.

Surrounding the property were tall residential buildings and typical houses, with sizes ranging from one hundred twenty square meters to two hundred forty square meters. The prices for these homes were steep, starting at eighty thousand dollars per square meter.

The most desirable and spacious area, however, was designated for the Thompson First villas.

These villas varied in size from three hundred square meters to over one thousand square meters each. Given that each villa included a yard and a basement, their prices were correspondingly high, costing one hundred thirty thousand dollars per square meter.

In simpler terms, the villa that Zeke had given to Charlie was valued at a staggering one hundred thirty million dollars!

At that moment, the property guide continued, “We offer specialized property and security services for our esteemed villa owners. Although the ordinary residential houses and the villas share the same community, there is additional fencing around the villa area! This ensures it remains a completely separate community from the ordinary homes!”

“While the ordinary residential houses are already quite secure, with no outsiders allowed entry, the villa area is even more fortified! Essentially, it would be nearly impossible for any thief or burglar to infiltrate the villas. So, you can feel completely at ease if you decide to purchase one!”

Just then, a woman spoke up angrily, “Isn’t this a bit excessive? Are you implying that the residents of the ordinary houses and high-rises are supposed to bear the burden for the villa owners?”

Many people in the crowd nodded in agreement, as her point resonated with them.

Charlie found the voice somewhat familiar and looked up to see the woman. To his surprise, it was a heavily made-up woman—Claire’s cousin, Wendy!

What was she doing here?

Both Charlie and Claire were taken aback to see her at the sales center.

Upon glancing in her direction again, they noticed that her family was also present: her father, Christopher, her mother, Hannah, and her brother, Harold, were standing beside her!

Were they considering buying a house?

Claire turned to Charlie and whispered, “Since Uncle and his whole family are here, let’s leave now!”

Charlie shook his head and asked, “Where should we go? Why should we leave just because they’re here?”

Claire replied, “I’m just worried they’ll cause trouble for you again…”
