Charlie replied coldly, “I have severed all connections with the Wilson family. If the White family decides to accept a bride from them, it will show a blatant disregard for me. If you proceed with this, don’t say I didn’t warn you when conflicts arise in the future.”
Panic set in for Zeke as he exclaimed, “Mr. Wade, please don’t misunderstand. The White family has regretted this marriage arrangement for quite some time. If you hadn’t been the son-in-law of the Wilson family, I would never have allowed someone from my family to marry someone like Wendy!
