The manager continued, “I’m calling to let you know we found a diamond necklace in the corner of the fitting room, and your name is engraved on it. You must have dropped it when you were here last week.”

Jasmine’s heart raced with excitement upon hearing this. She quickly asked, “Where is the necklace now? Do you have it?”

“Yes, it’s at our boutique,” the manager confirmed.

“I’ll come by to pick it up right away,” Jasmine said eagerly.

Once she hung up, tears of joy streamed down her face. Turning to Charlie with a grateful smile, she said, “Mr. Wade, I’ve finally found the diamond necklace my mother gave me. Thank you so much…”

Charlie smiled back and replied, “You should go get your necklace now. If you’re in a hurry, you should leave immediately!”

Jasmine nodded and quickly pulled out her checkbook, writing a cash cheque for twenty million dollars, handing it to Charlie as she said, “Mr. Wade, please accept this as a small gesture of my gratitude. I’m truly thankful for everything you’ve done for me today.”

Charlie smiled and waved his hands dismissively.

Twenty million dollars?

He genuinely didn’t need that money.

With his wealth exceeding tens of billions, he couldn’t see a reason to accept twenty million dollars from her.

Charlie simply replied, “Jasmine, we’re friends. There’s no need for you to pay me for my assistance.”

But Jasmine insisted, “Mr. Wade, please take this twenty million dollars. Otherwise, I won’t feel right about it.”

Charlie responded, “Jasmine, who knows when we might need each other’s help again? There’s really no need for us to keep tabs on one another.”
