Claire let out a heavy sigh and remarked, “Finding a job these days is really tough. All I can do is keep searching and hope for a bit of luck.”

Claire shook her head in disbelief. “Seriously? Emgrand isn’t a supermarket. I can’t just come and go as I please. Plus, they have a very rigorous employee evaluation and grading system; starting from the bottom would be so awkward and embarrassing for me.”

Charlie sighed and suggested, “Sweetheart, have you ever thought about starting your own business?”

“Start my own business?” Claire replied, taken aback. “But how would I even go about that?”

“Well, you’ve been in this industry for years. You must have built a professional network and connections by now. I’ve noticed that Doris Young from the Emgrand Group seems to really like you. Plus, Zeke White is counting on me to help him navigate his luck; I believe he would support you as well.”

Claire chuckled, a hint of self-deprecation in her voice. “Charlie, starting a business requires at least two to three million dollars in capital. And we’d need additional funds to keep it running. Where would we get that kind of money?”

“I can assist with the funding! I know some generous people,” Charlie said with a warm smile. “If you’re serious about this, money won’t be an issue.”

Claire looked up and replied, “I know you have many friends in the entrepreneurship world, like Mr. Quinton, and borrowing money wouldn’t be a problem for you. But honestly, relying on a loan for our business capital would be quite stressful. I’d rather start with my own small studio, where I can take on design projects from major construction companies.”

Charlie responded firmly, “Whatever you decide to do, I’ll always be there to support you!”

Claire nodded, feeling grateful. “I want to launch the studio first and then gradually build my way up. The Wilson family members think I can’t accomplish anything without the Wilson Group. I want to show them that I can!”

Charlie considered her words for a moment and then nodded with a gentle smile. “You have my complete support, but you must promise to share any work-related challenges with me. We’ll tackle them together! In fact, you can hire me as a volunteer employee. While I may not have many skills, I can definitely help with driving and carrying your bags.”

“Alright.” Claire nodded, touched by his offer.

She knew she was taking a significant risk with this decision.
