Charlie glanced at his watch and noted that it wasn’t too late yet. Besides, he hadn’t indulged in alcohol for quite a while. With a nod, he said, “Alright then. You pick the place!”

Jasmine’s face lit up with excitement as she quickly replied, “I know a fantastic bar!”

With that, Jasmine pressed the accelerator and drove towards the city center.

They arrived downtown at a bar called Sunny.

Jasmine parked her car right in front of the entrance and handed her keys to the young valet. Then, she swiftly led Charlie inside the bar.

As soon as the waiter spotted her, he greeted her courteously, “Good evening, Miss Moore! Would you like to sit in your usual spot today?”

Jasmine nodded, and the waiter responded promptly, “Please follow me.”

The bar had a lively dance floor on the first level, buzzing with energy thanks to the DJ. However, the waiter guided them to the second floor, which was entirely vacant and had limited seating. From this vantage point, they could enjoy the vibrant scene below without much distraction, making it easier to converse since the music was quieter upstairs.

Once seated, Jasmine wasted no time and instructed the waiter, “Bring me two bottles of the finest 1982 Chateau Lafite Rothschild.”

“Of course, Miss Moore,” the waiter replied, bowing before quickly leaving to fulfill her order.

He soon returned with the two bottles, expertly opening them and pouring the wine into a decanter. Jasmine then asked the waiter, “Please go downstairs and inform your manager not to send any other guests up here.”

“Absolutely, Miss Moore,” he said, bowing again before making his exit.

Curious, Charlie inquired, “Do you have shares in this place?”

Jasmine smiled and explained, “This bar was established by a member of the Moore family.”

Charlie nodded, realizing the significance of her words, “It sounds like the Moore family is quite influential.”

In response, Jasmine smiled softly and said, “We’re just an ordinary family. While there aren’t many families in Aurous Hill that can compare to us, there are certainly wealthier and more powerful families outside the city. Take the Scott family, the Lester family, the Hamilton family, the Osborne family, the Duncan family, and then the most powerful of all—the Swire family and the Wade family.”

Charlie simply smiled, choosing to remain silent.

The Wade family? That was his family.

However, he still hadn’t decided if he wanted to reconnect with them just yet.

For the moment, Charlie felt quite content with his life. He owned Emgrand Group and had tens of billions in cash at his disposal. Additionally, he had uncovered limitless potential through studying the Apocalyptic Book.

On the other hand, returning to the Wade family would mean adhering to countless rules, losing the freedom he cherished.

Jasmine poured a glass of red wine for herself and one for Charlie, handing it to him with a smile. “Mr. Wade, I’d like to propose a toast!”

As Charlie took the glass, he admired Jasmine’s rosy complexion and said, “Jasmine, whenever you drink, it’s important to have a reason. You should reflect on whether you’re celebrating something or if there’s something on your mind. So, how about we share what we’re celebrating or remembering before each toast? What do you think of that idea?”
