At that moment, Zachary stepped forward and said in a flattering tone, “Mr. Wade, you’re truly incredible! Even the notorious Butcher Brothers couldn’t defeat you. You’re like a god among men!”

Then, without hesitation, Zachary quickly knelt down in front of Charlie.

Charlie regarded Zachary with a cool demeanor and asked, “So, Zachary, did you think of running away earlier because you doubted I could handle the Butcher Brothers?”

“No! No!” Zachary replied, his face turning pale. He hurriedly explained, “Mr. Wade, you’ve misunderstood! Why would I ever doubt your strength? I was just confused earlier; please don’t take it to heart…”

After finishing his explanation, Zachary trembled as he added, “Mr. Wade, I truly believe you’re a god! I admit it now. From this moment on, I’ll worship you alone and not any deities from the heavens or the earth!”

Claire could only shake her head in disbelief as she watched Zachary. She then turned to Charlie, asking, “What should we do now? You’ve dealt with the Butcher Brothers. Should we involve the police?”

Charlie pondered for a moment before answering, “Why don’t you all get in the car first? I’ll handle this situation right away.”

Claire nodded and climbed into the car alongside Loreen and Zachary.

After watching the three of them settle inside the vehicle, Charlie pulled out his cell phone and called Isaac, the spokesperson for the Wade family and the manager of Shangri-La.

Once the call connected, Isaac greeted Charlie respectfully, “Mr. Wade, how can I assist you?”

Charlie replied calmly, “I had an encounter with the Butcher Brothers. They tried to attack me, and now they’re dead, their bodies left by a secluded road. I want to avoid any trouble, so could you send someone to take care of this for me?”

Isaac gasped in shock upon hearing Charlie’s words. “Mr. Wade, you took out the infamous Butcher Brothers? They’re well-known robbers in the southern region, ruthless and cruel, and no one has ever managed to defeat them!”

Excitedly, Isaac continued, “Mr. Wade, this is incredible! If the Wade family learns of your strength, it will surely create a huge sensation!”

Charlie, maintaining his calm demeanor, replied, “Just be glad you know. I don’t want the Wade family to find out about this. If they do, I won’t forgive you!”

Isaac respected Charlie’s wishes and replied earnestly, “Understood, Mr. Wade. You can trust me to keep this confidential. I’ll send someone to handle it right away.”

Content with Isaac’s response, Charlie hung up and made his way back to the car.

Once he got into the driver’s seat, Charlie started the car with a calm composure, as if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, Loreen, seated in the back, couldn’t help but stare at Charlie’s profile. The more she looked at him, the stronger her feelings grew; she realized she was completely in love with him.
