The Amazing son in law Chapter 27
Elaine was absolutely ecstatic when Kevin declared loudly, “Uncles and aunties, relax! I’ll go talk to them now. Please wait for my good news!”
Feeling empowered by Kevin’s presence, Elaine couldn’t contain her excitement and exclaimed, “Kevin, I want to come with you!”
Charlie quickly jumped in, cautioning, “Mom, I really think you should stay out of this. If Kevin can’t resolve the issue, you might end up in trouble!”
“Bah!” Elaine shot back angrily. “How dare you doubt Kevin’s skills, you loser?!”
The other seniors were counting on Kevin to help them recover their money. Charlie’s sudden skepticism only fueled their irritation toward him.

Under their disapproving glares and murmurs, Charlie replied flatly, “Mom, it’s smarter for you to wait here. Being a bystander is the best option.”
Elaine found his tone distasteful and snapped, “Shut your stinky mouth! This isn’t the time or place for your comments!”
With arrogance etched on his face, Kevin sneered, “You’re only good at being jealous. Do you think I’m like you, a loser who just stands around complaining?”
Seeing that his mother-in-law wouldn’t heed his advice, Charlie shrugged and said casually, “Alright then, let’s wait for your good news, Mr. White.”
Charlie had a deep disdain for Elaine. She was pretentious and often blinded by superficialities. Today’s situation might have appeared to be just a standard fraud issue, but with a little insight, one could see the larger, more sinister scheme at play. Elaine was too stubborn to listen to reason and insisted on forging ahead herself. It might be best for her to learn a lesson the hard way.
Unbeknownst to Elaine, Charlie was genuinely worried about her. She shot him a fierce glare before turning back to Kevin, saying apologetically, “Kevin, please don’t pay any attention to that loser. I trust you…”
Kevin chuckled triumphantly, responding, “No worries, Auntie. I won’t lower myself to his level.”
He then turned toward the building, speaking confidently, “Auntie, let’s go!”
“Alright!”
Kevin led Elaine through the crowd, striding toward the entrance of Axel Insurance. As they reached the door, he shouted at the employees blocking the entrance, “Listen up! Tell your boss to refund their money immediately! If not, I’ll be back with my team of lawyers and security guards, and I’ll come crashing through that door to apprehend you and your boss!”
Elaine chimed in, “Did you hear that, you bunch of nitwits? We have backup now! If you refuse to pay us back, Mr. White will make sure you all end up in prison!”
The young employee at the front looked anxious and quickly replied, “I’m sorry, I’m just a security guard. I’m not responsible for the business!”
Kevin responded coldly, “Then call your boss! Let him know I’m Kevin White from the White family in Aurous Hill! Tell him he needs to come deal with me personally, and don’t say I didn’t warn him!”
Kevin spoke with an air of arrogance. While the White family wasn’t the top family in Aurous Hill, they were considered middle-class in the local social hierarchy. In contrast, the person he was confronting was merely the head of a mediocre fraudulent company. It was unlikely that this boss would remain calm upon hearing Kevin’s name. The young employee, despite being unfamiliar with Kevin’s true background, felt a sense of urgency and quickly called his boss.
