He handed it to the man, saying, “Don Albert, this card holds thirty million dollars, and the PIN is your birthday. This is your bonus—please verify it.”

The middle-aged man, dressed in a sharp suit, had a rugged and worn face, yet his eyes were sharp and predatory, resembling those of a lion. Anyone who saw him would instantly recognize him as Don Albert Rhodes, the notorious mafia boss of Aurous Hill. His reputation was such that no one dared to cross him.

Don Albert glanced at Axel with a satisfied smile and remarked, “Axie, not bad at all. I’m impressed with your tact!”

Axel, feeling a bit anxious, replied, “Don Albert, what should we do about the elderly folks protesting outside?”

Albert dismissed the concern with a flat tone, saying, “They’re just a bunch of old fools. Don’t pay them any mind. If they don’t leave, I’ll have some of my men teach them a lesson!”

Albert chuckled, “Next time, go all in with ventures that can yield big profits. I’ve got your back if anything goes south.”

Axel was overjoyed. Bowing his head sincerely, he said, “Don Albert, thank you! Your support motivates me to work even harder. Together, we’ll make a fortune!”

Though Axel lacked a strong background in Aurous Hill, he was clever and full of cunning schemes. Aware of his limitations in safeguarding the hefty sum from financial scams, he sought Don Albert’s help, offering him part of the money in exchange for protection. Axel was confident that Don Albert, as a leading figure in Aurous Hill’s underworld, was the best ally he could have. With Don Albert’s backing, he could continue his fraudulent activities without fear.

Just as Axel reveled in his alliance with Don Albert, an employee rushed in, exclaiming, “Boss, we’ve got a situation! A guy claiming to be Kevin White is demanding that we return the money or he’ll have you thrown in jail!”

“What?!” Axel exclaimed, frowning. He turned to Albert and said, “Don, there’s a man downstairs identifying himself as part of the White family. He’s rallying the protesters and causing a scene! He claims to be powerful in Aurous Hill and is threatening us to return the money, or he’ll see us locked up.”

Axel intentionally exaggerated the situation to provoke Albert.

Leaning in, he pleaded, “Don, the White family wields significant influence in Aurous Hill. I can’t confront them if they escalate this. Please help me out of this mess!”

“The White family of Aurous Hill?” Albert scoffed, his disdain evident. “To me, they’re nothing more than a speck of dust! Even their leader must bow before me! How dare their young ones provoke me! They’re simply asking for trouble!” With that, Albert slid the bank card into his pocket and declared coldly, “Let’s go! I’m eager to find out which fool thinks they can demand money from me!”
