Charlie’s tone turned cold as he stated, “From now on, Emgrand Group will cease all business relations with the White family. Halt any ongoing or planned projects. If the White family profits from our company in any way, I will reconsider your position as vice chairman!”

Doris was taken aback, realizing someone from the White family must have offended him. She nodded vigorously and exclaimed, “Don’t worry, Mr. Wade! I will instruct my staff to terminate all collaborations with the White family immediately!”

Charlie nodded with satisfaction and added, “Inform them that Emgrand Group has no interest in associating with lowly garbage. Have security escort them out.”

Meanwhile, outside the office, Gerald and Wendy waited anxiously. The White family had always aspired to be key players in the Emgrand Group collaboration. Gerald hoped to build a strong rapport with Doris Young to strengthen their family’s ties with the company. “Excuse me, may I know if Miss Young is available to meet with us now?” Gerald asked, confusion etched on his face.

Coldly, the secretary replied, “I’m sorry, but our vice chairman has stated that Emgrand Group has no interest in collaborating with lowly garbage like you. All partnerships with your family are canceled effective immediately!”

“What did you just say?!” Gerald gasped in shock, his jaw nearly hitting the floor. Why did that remark sound so familiar? Oh right! Charlie Wade had said the same thing in the parking lot! What did Doris Young mean by that? Did she truly intend to end all collaborations with the White family? Anger surged within him, clouding his thoughts.

What was happening? All projects canceled? A significant portion of the White family’s income relied on their work with Emgrand! If they terminated ties, it would severely impact their wealth. He couldn’t accept this harsh reality. He shouted, “I demand to see Miss Young! I want to ask her personally!”

The secretary shot him a frosty glare. “I’m afraid Miss Young will not see you, and you are no longer welcome here!”

Gerald protested vehemently, “Are you kidding me? We are long-term partners with Emgrand! She can’t just end our projects like this! Don’t push us!”

The secretary ignored his outburst and directed the guards, “Please escort them out!”

The head of security swiftly moved in, grabbing Gerald’s wrist and twisting it painfully behind him.

Gerald winced in agony as Captain Cooper sneered, “Get out of here! If you cause a scene at Emgrand Group, I’ll make sure you regret it!”

“You’re just a security guard! How dare you speak to me like that? Do you know who I am?” Gerald retorted, infuriated.

Captain Cooper responded with a sharp slap across Gerald’s face, declaring, “And what are you in the eyes of Emgrand Group?”

Gerald felt the sting of the slap, embarrassment flooding him. Just as he was about to explode with fury, his phone rang—it was his father.

He answered, and a furious voice boomed from the other end, “You fool! What did you do? Emgrand Group wants to terminate all projects with us! Who did you offend?”

Gerald whined, “No, Dad, that’s not true! I didn’t offend anyone. I just came to see Miss Young, but I never even got to see her…”

His father shouted again, “Emgrand Group said they’re cutting ties because of you, the lowly garbage! You’re the reason our family is facing such a loss! Get back here and explain this to your grandfather!”

Stunned, Gerald clutched his phone as he and Wendy were forcibly escorted out of Emgrand Group’s main entrance.

Suddenly, Charlie’s face flashed in his mind. He turned to Wendy and asked, “Wendy, is this related to your pathetic cousin-in-law? Does he have any connection to Emgrand Group?”

“Huh?” Wendy was taken aback. After considering the situation, she realized it could indeed be connected to him, but he was just a loser!

She shook her head firmly, saying, “No, there’s absolutely no way he has anything to do with Emgrand Group. He’s not even qualified to clean their toilets!”

“You’re right…” Gerald nodded, feeling defeated. As he thought about his furious father, he said, “I need to go home right away…”

Before long, news of the White family’s ousting from Emgrand Group spread through Aurous Hill like wildfire. No one knew the specifics, but it was clear that the White family must have crossed Emgrand Group in some way. The family’s standing plummeted, their wealth slashed by more than half, and they fell from being a top-tier family to a second-rate one.

Lady Wilson trembled with rage upon hearing the news. She considered breaking off Wendy’s engagement to Gerald, but even after this setback, the White family remained more influential than the Wilson family. Reluctantly, she decided to endure the situation for now.

Charlie nodded and continued, “I need you to make two announcements.”

“Yes, please go ahead,” Doris replied.

“First, announce the change in Emgrand Group’s ownership and the appointment of a new chairman, but keep my identity under wraps. Just refer to him as Mr. Wade.”

“The second announcement will be about Emgrand Group investing two billion dollars to construct a six-star hotel in Aurous Hill and inviting tender bids for partners. All construction and interior design companies in the city are welcome to participate!”

The main business of Wilson Group revolved around interior design and construction. The old lady would jump at the chance to work with Emgrand. Winning the bid with Emgrand Group would make anyone the most sought-after professional in the industry. Now that he owned Emgrand Group, Charlie could offer his wife some lucrative opportunities.
