On the sparkling crystal stage, Charlie took Claire’s hand and presented her with a stunning jade necklace he had been planning to give her for quite some time.
“Claire, this is my anniversary gift to you. I hope you love it!”
Claire gazed in awe at the exquisite jade necklace and gasped, “This… isn’t this the treasured possession of Emerald Court? Charlie, how did you manage to get this?”
Her astonishment was palpable.
Could Charlie be the enigmatic billionaire from the video?
How else could he have acquired such a remarkable piece?

This made no sense!
She knew Charlie well; how could he possibly be that mysterious figure?

If that were the case, his uncles likely had children of their own. These relatives would certainly see him as a rival in the matter of inheritance.
If he hastily revealed his identity without understanding his family’s dynamics and without the means to protect both himself and Claire, he could put her life in jeopardy!

Thus, he quickly fabricated a story. “This necklace may look just like the prized treasure of Emerald Court, but it’s actually a replica that I commissioned. It’s made from quality jade, but it’s not the same as the one from Emerald Court. I only paid tens of thousands of dollars for this.”
He looked at her with concern and asked, “Claire, do you still like it now that you know it’s a fake?”
Claire let out a heavy sigh of relief!
Everything made sense now!
She immediately smiled brightly and replied, “Dumdum, of course I like it! You’ve done so much for me, and I’m truly touched!”
Charlie felt a wave of relief wash over him as he swiftly placed the jade necklace around Claire’s neck.
He gazed at her earnestly and said, “Claire, we’ve been married for three years, and I’ve only caused you trouble and humiliation. I’m sorry for that. But from this moment on, I promise you that no one will ever bully you again!”
Claire nodded, her heart swelling with happiness. In that moment, she realized her husband was finally ready to stand tall and be the man she believed he could be!
