Kelly cast a quick glance at Charlie Wade. Noticing that his expression remained unchanged, she replied apologetically, “I’m sorry, Claire. I was just so excited to see you earlier that I inadvertently shared the news with Miss Fei. She was thrilled too and really wanted to see you and Mr. Wade.”
Claire smiled and said, “It’s alright. I didn’t want to disturb her work; otherwise, I would have reached out myself.”
Just then, Mitsui Yoshitaka approached Charlie Wade, accompanied by his assistant, and asked Kelly with a friendly smile, “Ms. West, are these two your close friends? What should I call them?”
Kelly beamed and replied, “Mr. Mitsui, these two are not only my friends, but they’re also good friends of Miss Fei. Are you aware that Miss Fei will be arriving shortly?”
He then turned to Charlie Wade, extending his hand in greeting. “Hello, sir! I’m Mitsui Yoshitaka, the current head of the Mitsui family. May I ask your name?”
Charlie Wade smiled back and said, “My last name is Ye; you can call me Mr. Wade. This is my wife.” Mitsui Yoshitaka nodded enthusiastically and suggested, “Mr. Wade and Mrs. Wade, why don’t you both join me in the core area? I’d love to introduce you to some friends.”
