Xinmei sighed but didn’t press further.

Fei Kexin noticed the genuine concern in Xinmei’s expression and decided not to exclude her. Glancing around to ensure no one else was within earshot, she said, “Mr. Wade just informed me that the people in the car were assassins sent by the United States to kill Tawanna Sweet.”

“Assassins?” Mitsui Yoshitaka’s face turned ashen. “That… that can’t be true!”
