Tawana paused for a moment before responding.
With a confused expression, she asked, “What do you mean, dear? I don’t quite understand.”
Trevor forced a bitter smile and replied, “I mean, I’ll be heading back for training soon. Once you’ve completed these 20 performances in China and returned to the United States, will we still be in a relationship?”
Tawana immediately reassured him, “Of course! Why would we break up because of these 20 concerts?”
Trevor sighed, his tone tinged with dejection. “I don’t know… I just don’t feel as confident as I used to.”
After a brief hesitation, he continued, “You know, after everything that happened in Tokyo, it feels like our perspectives might have shifted. Before that, I never imagined someone like Mr. Wade could exist. I’m worried that this might also affect your worldview and what you look for in a partner.”
