Lord Wade nodded with a satisfied smile. “That’s good. Since you’re going to Uncle sun’s house anyway, I think you should stay for lunch tomorrow. Then, in the evening, bring Stefanie sun over so we can all have dinner together. Honestly, I haven’t seen her in so long—I miss her as an elder.”

charlie Wade understood that this was all a matter of proper etiquette. Regardless of his relationship with Stefanie sun, it was only natural for her to return to Eastcliff and visit the old man.

So, he agreed and said, “Once I see Stefanie sun, I’ll let you know. I’ll come visit you tomorrow.”

“Alright!” Lord Wade said happily, smiling. “Let’s not go out to eat tomorrow—we’ll have a family dinner at home. Since Stefanie sun is coming, why not invite your Uncle sun and Aunt Angie as well?”

charlie Wade grew anxious. “Grandpa, what are you trying to do?”

Lord Wade chuckled. “Nothing at all. It’s just that I haven’t had dinner with the three of them in a long time. As their elder, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to visit me as a family.”

charlie Wade sighed in resignation. “It’s up to you. If you’re inviting Uncle sun and his family, though, it’d be more appropriate for you to call him directly. I won’t play messenger.”

“Fair enough!” Lord Wade readily agreed, then added with a smile, “After you pick up Stefanie sun tomorrow, go to her house to see your Uncle sun and Aunt Angie. I’ll call him at noon and invite them over for dinner. I’m sure he won’t refuse.”

“Alright.”

charlie Wade knew he had little say in the matter, and arguing wouldn’t change anything, so he simply kept quiet.

Lord Wade then said, “charlie, I’m thinking of inviting your aunt as well. What do you think? That way, it would be the three members of the Sun family and three generations of our own—it seems fitting.”

charlie Wade’s aunt, Cynthia Wade, had been excused from guarding the ancestral mausoleum at Ye Ling Mountain because she was tasked with taking care of the old man. The other members of the Wade family were still unable to leave the mountain.
