As Charlie made his way toward the Audi showroom, he caught the attention of the staff inside. One of the salespeople exclaimed, “Wow, it’s the e-bike guy who just bought the BMW 760!”

“I have to stop him and convince him to buy the top-of-the-line Audi A8, even if it means I have to grovel!”

“Absolutely!”

In an instant, a swarm of Audi salespeople dashed out to surround him.

“Sir! Come take a look at the latest top-spec Audi A8 we have in our showroom!”

“Sir! Our A8 is incredibly powerful, featuring a W12 engine that outperforms the BMW 760’s V12!”

Charlie raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Really? That sounds impressive!”

“Yes!” One eager Audi salesman stepped forward quickly, explaining, “Let me clarify, our W12 engine has two sides, and you can deactivate one side whenever you want. It’s more fuel-efficient if you only use half of the cylinders!”

Charlie scoffed, “Are you serious? Why would I buy a twelve-cylinder car just to turn off six for fuel savings? I might as well just get a six-cylinder car!”

“Um… Ah… I…”

The salesman’s face turned a deep shade of crimson as he realized his blunder.

Charlie smirked, “I can see what you’re thinking. You’re frustrated because I bought a BMW 760 yesterday and now you desperately want me as your customer, right?”

The group of salespeople nodded vigorously.

Charlie chuckled. “Let me make it clear: it’s too late! You ignored me and treated me dismissively yesterday. Today, I’m out of your league!”

Beep beep!

He honked his little scooter and declared, “Move aside, I’m heading to the BMW showroom to buy another car!”

Suddenly, the BMW sales team rushed out and shouted, “You Audi guys, what do you think you’re doing? Are you trying to poach our customers? Can’t you see he’s not interested in you? Step aside! If you block him again, I’ll call the press and expose this!”

The Audi salespeople sighed in defeat and retreated.

The manager of the BMW showroom approached Charlie personally and said respectfully, “Good morning, Mr. Wade! Are you looking to purchase another car today?”

Charlie nodded and replied, “Do you have a BMW 530? I’ll pay cash!”

“Absolutely! We have it in stock!”

The manager was thrilled. A 760 yesterday and a 530 today—he was indeed a valuable customer!

“Please follow me, and I’ll show you the car!”

Charlie hummed in agreement as he followed the manager into the showroom.

Inside, he spotted a BMW 530 on display. As he sat inside to assess it, he noticed that while the exterior bore a strong resemblance to the 7 Series, the interior fell short. Nonetheless, it was luxurious enough for his aging and pretentious father-in-law.

Just as he was about to pull out his card to complete the purchase, he heard a familiar voice nearby, “Oh dear, I really love the BMW X6! Could you buy me one, please?”

Charlie turned his head and saw Lily, Douglas’s fiancée, clinging to the arm of a stranger, speaking in a flirtatious and intimate tone.

Frowning with irritation, Charlie thought, ‘Lily just called this man ‘dear.’ Is she cheating on Douglas?’

Anger bubbled within him. He despised unfaithful women lacking moral integrity.

Moreover, Douglas was diligently working to advance his career, while this woman was betraying him! How revolting!

He overheard the man leeringly teasing her, “If I buy you the X6 now, how would you explain this to Douglas?”

Lily responded with disdain, “Douglas? Ugh, don’t even mention him! He’s just a loser! He’s not wealthy, has no talent, and offers nothing! I’d never be with him if it weren’t for his honest and down-to-earth nature!”
