As the voice reverberated throughout the room, Don Albert strode in, accompanied by Bill and a sizable entourage of men.

Upon his arrival, he commanded Bill, “Shut the doors! No one gets in here!”

Bill promptly nodded, “Got it, Don Albert!”

zaz stood frozen, his eyes fixated on Don Albert, utterly astonished. It felt as if his mind had short-circuited.

It was Don Albert Rhodes!

In contrast, zaz was merely one of the lesser leaders in the region. Yet, Don Albert was the reigning authority in this territory! Everyone in the city understood that Don Albert held the ultimate power!

He never imagined he would come face-to-face with Don Albert simply because he had been tasked with handling a trivial issue for Jerome!

Jerome, unaware of Don Albert’s significance, noticed zaz’s shock and furrowed his brow. “Zaz, what’s happening? Who is this old man?”

At Jerome’s words, Zaz was gripped by fear, causing him to tremble.

Before anyone could react, Zaz seized Jerome by the hair and slammed his face into the ground, breaking his nose with a sickening crunch. As blood streamed from Jerome’s nose, zaz gritted his teeth and shouted, “If you wish for death, Hunt, don’t drag me down with you! This is Don Albert!”

“What?!” Jerome was left utterly stunned.

Don Albert?!

What was he doing here?!

Don Albert approached with a stern look and delivered a swift kick to zaz’s groin. A wave of agony surged through zaz, forcing him to his knees, his face paling rapidly.

Don Albert glared at him and spoke coldly, “You’re really asking for trouble, aren’t you? How dare you offend Mr. Wade?”

He then turned to Charlie, bowing deeply in respect as he apologized, “I’m sorry for my tardiness, Mr. Wade. Please, punish me!”

Witnessing Don Albert’s deference toward Charlie left everyone in shock. Jerome began to tremble, realizing he had angered such a powerful figure.

Charlie nodded and looked at zaz. “Do you know this man?”

Don Albert answered, “Yes. He’s just one of the minor leaders around here, but he had the audacity to upset Mr. Wade. Just let us know how you wish to punish him, Mr. Wade! We’ll execute your orders!”

Charlie replied, “What a tyrant. He claimed he would disable me as soon as he walked in. Someone like that is a menace to society. I say we break his kneecaps so he’ll need a wheelchair from now on.”

zaz felt as if his soul had left his body. He was a man who earned his living through fighting. If he were to become crippled, how could he continue to lead? It would spell the end for him!

Desperate, zaz fell to his knees and crawled toward Charlie, pleading, “Mr. Wade, this is all my fault! Please grant me another chance! I’ll never dare to offend you again!”

Charlie looked down at him with cold indifference. “I already gave you a second chance. You chose to disregard it.”

zaz recalled Charlie’s previous words.

“Kneel down and I’ll consider forgiving your sorry self…”

He had thought it was just a bluff, but now he understood that the one with a death wish wasn’t Charlie… it was zaz himself!

Terrified for his life, zaz groveled at Charlie’s feet, begging, “Mr. Wade, please, just give me another chance, please spare me!”

Charlie ignored his desperate cries and turned to Don Albert. “Well, what are you waiting for? We don’t have all day!”

Don Albert stiffened and immediately commanded his men, “You lot! Break his kneecaps right now!”

In an instant, several of his men lunged at Zaz and pinned him to the ground.
