Chapter 4247
Kai gestured for Gu Tianzhao to step forward and inquire!
“Who are you people, and why are you blocking our path?” Gu Tianzhao called out, feigning ignorance about Mu Qiufeng and his companions’ identities.
His expression showed no sign of fear; rather, it displayed a hint of annoyance!
Mu Qiufeng observed Gu Tianzhao and frowned slightly, yet he maintained his politeness, asking, “Fellow Daoist, may I know who you are and what brings you here? This location is thousands of miles away from the mainland.”
“You mention being thousands of miles from the continent, but why are you all here as well? This isn’t your territory, and I’ll go wherever I please!” Gu Tianzhao replied, clearly irritated by Mu Qiufeng.
Mu Qiufeng was taken aback but chose not to react with anger. He was certain that the individual before him was not part of the pill masters’ gang; any of those pill masters would have likely been terrified upon encountering him.
“You seem to have misunderstood, Fellow Daoist. That’s not what I meant. I noticed your spirit boat is heavily damaged, and I worry it may not be capable of supporting you on a long journey,” Mu Qiufeng explained.
“I see you must also be a formation master. Your spirit boat may be broken, but it appears to be protected by several formations,” he continued.
“Indeed, we are from the Two Yi Sect in the Central Region. I am Gu Tianzhao, the Sect Master. We were traveling on our spirit boat to capture some sea demonic beasts when a sudden storm blew us to this place,” Gu Tianzhao revealed.
“If it weren’t for the sturdiness of our formations, both our spirit boat and our lives would have been lost in that storm.”
“What kind of dreadful place is this? I’ve faced many fierce storms and waves, but nothing like this!”
“I advise you not to venture out; that storm hasn’t subsided yet. Be cautious, or you might get caught up in it too!” Gu Tianzhao warned.
“Ah, so you are Gu Sect Master from the Two Yi Sect! I’ve heard of you; your ancestor possesses knowledge of Divine Patterns, which is quite impressive!” Mu Qiufeng said, becoming more respectful upon learning Gu Tianzhao’s identity.
“I didn’t expect you to be aware of our Divine Pattern Ancestor. Who might you be?” Gu Tianzhao inquired, pretending not to know.
“We are from the Zhentian Dharma Sect. I am Mu Qiufeng, the Patriarch of the Zhentian Dharma Sect,” Mu Qiufeng responded with a respectful gesture.
“Zhentian Dharma Sect?” Gu Tianzhao pretended to contemplate for a moment before saying, “I had heard that the Zhentian Dharma Sect was destroyed not long ago. I haven’t heard any news from your Heaven Beheading Dharma Sect for years.”
Mu Qiufeng’s expression turned slightly awkward as he clarified, “We weren’t wiped out; it’s just that the continent isn’t a suitable place for us anymore. We haven’t traveled far and have made our home in this vast ocean instead.”
“In fact, we’ve been residing here for a thousand years now, and I’ve nearly forgotten what the mainland looks like,” he added.
Gu Tianzhao nodded in understanding and said, “I see. Since you’ve been here for such a long time, you must know of a nearby place to land?”
“We need a place to dock and repair this spirit boat before anything else…”
“Ah, there’s a small island just ahead where we have been living. You can settle there, but I have other matters to attend to, so I can’t take you myself,” Mu Qiufeng informed him.
“That sounds perfect! We can head there on our own. What’s keeping Patriarch Mu busy?” Gu Tianzhao asked casually.
However, immediately after asking, Gu Tianzhao regretted it; it was obvious these people were going to assist Elder Liu!
“One of our spirit boats has encountered some issues, so we are going to check on it. I wonder if Sect Master Gu has seen our vessel during your travels?” Mu Qiufeng asked.
