After an indeterminate amount of time following the Fire Qilin, Kai noticed the air growing increasingly hot, and soon fiery red stones came into view!
At first, he thought the Fire Qilin had dug into the earth’s magma, but upon closer inspection, he realized it was merely some fiery red stones, flames flickering on their surfaces!
The Fire Qilin was voraciously devouring these fiery stones, seemingly enjoying its feast and occasionally calling out to Kai, almost as if to boast!
“There are spirit stones like this beneath the deserted island, imbued with flame breath…” Kai was astonished!
“These stones must have been scorched by the earth’s core for ages, making them perfect for supplementing the Fire Qilin’s flame breath.”
