As Ning Zhi witnessed the unfolding chaos, his body trembled with dark energy. With a fierce shout, he transformed into a fleeting shadow and quickly closed the distance to Kai!
“Go!” The black energy surged dramatically, morphing into an enormous hand that came crashing down toward Kai!
Kai seemed to anticipate Ning Zhi’s move; just as the hand descended, he vanished from sight!

As the green-clothed cultivator slammed onto the ground, it seemed as if a magical force was unleashed, infusing the area with tremendous power. Countless beams of piercing spiritual light shot upward, far surpassing the energy typically drawn from an immortal stone!

“Stop cursing! Can’t you see that even the old man is trying to avoid the rifts? How was I to know it would turn out like this?”
“You’re to blame for letting that bastard ruin my formation, which led to all of this!” Kai grumbled, dodging the pull of the void rift.
Ning Zhi was taken aback; he hadn’t expected Kai to lay the blame on himself.
While they both struggled against the rift’s pull, Ning Zhi shot Kai a glare, “You claim you didn’t know about the formation you set up? Once we escape these void cracks, I’ll make sure to peel your skin and draw your tendons…”
Amid the chaos, no one dared to make a move; their sole focus was on evading the void cracks!
“We’ll see who ends up worse off in this situation…”
Kai responded to Ning Zhi, both of them forced to exchange barbs even as they sought to avoid disaster!
