Kai found himself in a desolate landscape alongside Ji Yun and Zhu Qingxiu. As Zhu Qingxiu surveyed her surroundings, a look of astonishment appeared on her face—despite having traveled the entire Eastern Region, she had never encountered a place like this before.

In contrast, Kai and Ji Yun remained composed, having previously navigated the challenges of the Divine Demon Battlefield. The scene before them held no surprises.

“This place looks even more barren than the Eastern Region. Are we really going to uncover any treasures here?” Zhu Qingxiu questioned, her confusion evident.

“Who knows?” Kai responded nonchalantly. “We could discover treasures—or we might just lose our lives.”

“What?” Zhu Qingxiu exclaimed, taken aback. “Is it really that perilous?”

Kai offered a reassuring smile. “Not typically. As long as we remain vigilant, we should be fine.”

With that, Kai started to move forward, and Ji Yun and Zhu Qingxiu followed, leaving their marks in the dusty earth. It seemed they were in an uncharted area, and other groups that entered through different cave entrances had likely landed in separate sections of the battlefield due to the random nature of the teleportation.

Kai extended his divine sense to explore the area, hoping to locate anyone who may have arrived before them. However, as soon as he did, a mysterious force shattered his divine sense, leaving him momentarily disoriented. His expression turned serious with disbelief.

The Red Cloud Demon Lord, who resided within Kai’s mind, sensed the potent force as well. “What a formidable restriction… this battlefield is no ordinary place,” he noted.

As Kai’s dizziness faded, he surveyed the vast, desolate expanse, questioning the wisdom of entering the Divine Demon Battlefield.

Just then, footsteps approached, and Lin Keting, accompanied by the Right Blind Elder, appeared in the distance.

Noticing Kai’s condition, Lin Keting offered a slight smile. “You tried using divine sense, didn’t you? Did it get blocked?”

Kai didn’t respond, only narrowing his gaze.

“This area is under a powerful restriction. Divine sense won’t function here, nor can you release spiritual energy. Flying is off the table too,” Lin Keting explained.

Kai immediately attempted to circulate his spiritual energy, but it was suppressed, unable to penetrate the restriction. He then tried using Dragon Power, Origin Power, and even the combined might of the three clans—yet each effort met with the same unyielding force, dampening every bit of his power.

Kai’s expression grew tense. If a threat arose now, he would be significantly hampered.

“How do you know so much about the restrictions of this battlefield?” he asked, perplexed. After all, Lin Keting had only entered the Divine Demon Battlefield for the first time, so how could she possess such knowledge?

“I’ve only heard tales,” she replied, offering a faint smile, though Kai remained skeptical. He chose not to probe further.

“When you’re in this battlefield, you’re no different from an ordinary person,” Lin Keting continued. “Without the powers you usually rely on, you’ll have to rely on sheer physical strength. Here, arrogance is meaningless, and danger is omnipresent.”

Kai took a deep breath, working to calm himself. His body, honed to remarkable physical capabilities, filled him with confidence. While he might not have access to his usual powers, his raw strength was nonetheless formidable.

Furthermore, Kai possessed the Holy Light Fist, a technique that could harness his body’s pure physical prowess without any dependence on spiritual energy.

For Kai, this restriction could very well become an unexpected advantage.
