Kai smiled helplessly as he sprinted after him!

Kai quickly followed her gaze and noticed a massive black vortex descending from the sky. Above it, dark clouds swirled ominously, and bolts of lightning continuously struck down, vanishing into the vortex!
“There must be some kind of creature within that black vortex, and that lightning looks like calamity lightning.”
Although Kai couldn’t use his divine sense to probe deeper, he could tell from a distance that the thunder and lightning didn’t appear ordinary; it resembled calamity lightning!
Calamity lightning is indiscriminate, affecting any region. Even in the Private Domain Secret Realm, if a person or a demonic beast faced a calamity, it would trigger the same phenomenon!
Thus, encountering a thunder tribulation in this Divine Demon Battlefield was entirely plausible!
“Thunder tribulation? Could someone be undergoing a tribulation?”
Lin Keting exclaimed, shocked.
“It doesn’t seem like it’s a human’s tribulation. The way that tribulation lightning struck and then vanished is rather strange!”
Kai’s expression grew serious as he frowned slightly.
“Could it be a demonic beast?” Lin Keting frowned in response, “Master didn’t mention that there would be … here.”
Suddenly realizing she had spoken out of turn, Lin Keting hastily clamped her mouth shut.
Kai turned to her, “What did you just say? Who’s your master?”
“Oh, I meant it would be great if my master were here. Then I wouldn’t have to fear encountering formidable demonic beasts,” Lin Keting quickly corrected her words!
Kai shot a knowing glance at Lin Keting, sensing she was hiding something, but he opted not to press the issue.
What mattered now was discovering what lay inside that black vortex.
Kai decided to guide the White Feathered Crow closer to investigate, but the creature trembled and refused to go any further, ultimately landing on the ground!
“Let’s just circle around. Our strength is currently suppressed, and if it really is a demonic beast, we wouldn’t stand a chance.”
Lin Keting whispered, noticing Kai’s intent to approach.
“Are you afraid?”
Kai glanced at her, raising an eyebrow.
“I’m not afraid…” Lin Keting insisted, attempting to mask her apprehension.
“If you’re not afraid, let’s get closer. Who knows, we might even find some treasures in that black vortex.”
With that, Kai marched toward the vortex.
Lin Keting looked at the runes on her palm and gripped her life-preserving jade pendant, gritting her teeth as she followed him!
However, just as they approached, an immense force suddenly struck, sending both Kai and Lin Keting flying backwards!
In the wake of this force, a figure slowly emerged from within the black vortex, radiating terrifying lightning energy!
Only then did Kai and Lin Keting realize that what had emerged was indeed a demonic beast!
The beast had just one foot out of the vortex, wielding two thunder hammers in its hands, and with each clash of the hammers, bursts of lightning erupted!
“Thunder Beast? This is the legendary Thunder Beast?” Lin Keting exclaimed, shock evident in her voice as she beheld the monstrous creature.
“Damn humans, disturbing my cultivation…”
The Thunder Beast growled in human speech, advancing menacingly toward Kai and Lin Keting.
The terrifying bolts of lightning surrounding it locked onto Kai and Lin Keting, leaving them with nowhere to escape.
